MSNBC host: Word "Socialist" is code word for N-word

So let me guess the next thing that will happen is , if one decides to use the word Socilalist it will be considered a hate crime,or you may even be put on a watch list as a domestic terrorist. The main stream media is dumbing down the public faster then a speeding bullet.I guess ill have to get my news exclusively on the net or some other country non biased view point,because every thing thats comeing out of are media is garbage these days.

No I'd say ATS is beating the MSM at dumbing folks down by a much larger degree.

I like statist. I think it is more descriptive of the white elitists who are using Obama as a front.

Star for you! I share your outrage at MSNBC. They have become a non-news channel as has all MSM, in my opinion. I only watch them to get a good laugh every now and then. Otherwise, the MSM is a wasteland.

Regarding the "n" word, let me ask this. Who would that "n" word be directed towards IF socialist indeed was a substitute for it? Would this be President Obama? Well how much black (Negro) bloodline qualifies a person to claim to be black (Negro) in our society?

Very little evidently. He is more white than black. His father is mostly Arab. In fact the only black blood his father has is a great grandparent, on his mother's side. That’s Obama's great-great grandparent. That makes Obama 1/2 Caucasian, 7/16th Arab and a mere 1/16 black.

To be legally recognized as a minority in this country you must be at least 1/8th the ethnicity in question. Even in Kenya, Obama's father is legally recognized as "Arab African.

So, when ever this subject comes up, remember this: Obama IS NOT a black man!

That is not true. Ask any recruiter who works daily with work visa holders from countries such as India, and they will tell you that the quality is not there, just quantity. What we know is a company called FreedomWorks, claiming to be a grassroots group is pushing this issue. Corporations that have a stake in the outcome, and they would love for NOTHING to happen on the health care issue. Health insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies want one thing, for the status quo to stay the same. IF, IF their is health care reform, they know they will lose in what? Taking care of people? NO NO NO they know they will not be making the astronomical profits that they are now making. So anything they can do, to sidetrack the issue and DIVIDE the people, is perfectly all right to do by their pocketbook standards.

If you are getting your news from just television, or just one station, then yes, you are an idiot. To be knowledgeable, you have to get your new in multiple ways, and realize that somewhere in all these places is a bit of the truth, like it or not.

And after saying that, here is another from msnbc that I saw while flipping through the channels. It is interesting what they found. After watching this, do your own research, you will see it is true.

Please look at all sides of this issue, learn, read and then make up your minds instead of listening to one or two television stations, and having a knee jerk reaction to what we know are groups that have an agenda. That agenda is to divide the American people and keep us fighting with each other instead of us standing together. They do this for ONE reason and ONE reason only, how much money can they put in their pocketbooks.

Even if I were to embrace the actual meaning of Socialism, I suppose since many who are on the extreme far right see ANY move toward center they deem it as Socialism.

However in this case, I believe it is simply another smear tactic to invoke fear among ignorants. (Just like Muslim, Anti-Christ, Racist, Foreign born etc.) Unfounded and untrue.

I was a daily viewer of MSNBC and greatly enjoyed Olbermann's trashing of Bush. But Olbermann, Maddow, and Matthews all jumped the shark for me on the birth certificate issue.

Let me be clear--it makes no difference where you stand on the issue of Obama's citizenship. What I found offensive was that all three of them, daily, for weeks, when referring to this issue, refused to acknowledge that people want to see his long-form birth certificate. Instead, all of them, repeatedly, daily, refused to mention that little fact, and instead insisted Obama had already released it, held it up (the online certification), as if people are too stupid to realize that wasn't the "birth certificate" being sought. Instead, they insulted my intelligence daily by referring to people concerned about this issue as:

"right wing nut-jobs"
"tin-foil hat morons"
"racist right-wingers"
"nutty conspiracy theorists"
"right-wing conspiracy theorists"
"racist conspiracy theorists"
etc. etc. etc.

Then they would have their guest experts playing along (paraphrasing):

Olbermann: "So Obama has released his birth certificate. What do these nut-jobs want?"

Guest: "It's hard to say (chuckle). Maybe they think Hawaii is a foreign country."

This is the kind of dialogue they presented daily for weeks and probably still are, but I've stopped watching. It has been striking for me to see the liberal flip-side of Fox news. Make no mistake--Keith Olbermann, Rachael Maddow, and Chris Matthews are, all three, bald-faced LIARS:

NO discussion of his mother's age (too young to convey citizenship);
NO mention of his adoption and citizenship in Indonesia, nor any mention that Indonesia did not allow dual citizenship at that time;
NO mention that the newspaper birth announcements were automatically placed by the Hawaii Health Department (not by the parents);
NO mention that a parent had every opportunity and motivation to take advantage of Hawaii's previous lax laws regarding acceptance of noncitizen birth claims (they only required the word of a "witness" to the birth);
NO mention that Obama has sealed under lock and key his school, health and passport records;
And last but not least, NO mention by any of them--EVER, not once--of Obama's refusal to produce his LONG-FORM CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH!

Like I said, it doesn't matter where you stand on the issue. But it does matter if there isn't an intelligent discussion of the underlying facts in the issue. A lie of omission, especially for a journalist, is a LIE. These people, who I previously held in the highest regard, are LIARS. I'm sick of them all. In fact, I'm sick of IT all.

Probably so...they call Hugo Chavez that word all the time. Chavez exports it regionally and calls what he's doing socialist revolution instead of armed robbery. He pround of it; he's like the rap group NWA in contemporary American politics.

While it's true that 90% of the people who throw around the term 'socialist' have no idea what Socialism actually is, or how far away Obama actually is from a Socialist, the term can hardly be contrived as a racial gesture.

Seriously, can this guy play the race card a little more? When people refer to Joe Biden or Nancy Pelosi as socialist, are they also calling them 'n-word's? If someone says a policy is socialist, do they mean it's a 'n-word' policy? How would that even make sense?

Look, there are some people out there who are concerned that a black man is president. They are dwarfed by the extreme number of people who are concerned that a "socialist" is president. (It's worth noting that both groups are equally misguided). The fact that this MSNBC correspondent can't understand that makes me wonder how he got his job.

LOL how can you say Obama is far from a socialist, he is trying to socialize a health care system that no one wants, and people have been adamant about not wanting it yet he continues to push it. I used to watch MSNBC for Dan Abrams. But now it's just a cess pool of muck. They are a worse than a joke. They are an insult to all Americans. Someone really needs to pull the plug on MSNBC.

Communism is an economic system and democracy is a system of government.
There is no direct opposition between Communism and Democracy.
The opposite of Communism is not Democracy, it is Capitalism.

President Obama is a Democrat.

Read response #1 and to add who cares? We all know there are few, if any, independent MSM networks as they are all part of conglomerates. Especially in these difficult economic times, strategic alliances are key to survival.

ON TOPIC:

I have already provided a link to show a valid basis for the view expressed by host, as well as my opinion that MSNBC and FOX just equally balance the spectrum of bias, thereby canceling each other out.

Simple solution peeps. If you don't watch them, they shouldn't annoy you.
