I wouldn't go that far yet. Fox News has a long long history at this point, while MSNBC didn't kick in to overdrive until the end of 2008 or so.

MSNBC is certainly biased and going in that direction, but Fox News is truly the epitome of terrible, phony, biased, spun, agenda-pushing news.

the pace and the direction in which the MSM news is heading is ridiculous.

i wonder how much longer it will be until we have a national/global news make over.

i personally can't wait ti'll the day 90% of the public becomes aware of all the spin. (in both directions)

lol thats funny because I call him socialist too (although he isn't *quite* a socialist). And I'm black. I'm sure some anti obama people are "racist" but a lot arent. The race card is freaking getting abused to much these days, and it makes me sick. The main reason being because there is REAL racism in the world but yet people are calling things that arent even racist racist (and theres not just racism against black or latino people or whatever, theres plenty against white people too).

Could you tell us then why is the present administration so afraid of Americans who not only don't like a One World Government goal, but Americans who fear COMMUNISM?....

Why did Janet Napolitano, and the DHS named this particualr form of dictatorship?

Why are they so afraid of Americans who "fear COMMUNISM"?....

Thompson added, “Janet Napolitano is lying to the American people when she says the Report is not based on ideology or political beliefs. In fact, her report would have the admiration of any current or past dictator in the way it targets political opponents.”

The Report specifically mentions the following political beliefs that law enforcement should use to determine whether someone is arightwing extremist”:

• Opposes restrictions on firearms
• Opposes lax immigration
• Opposes the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship and the expansion of social programs
• Opposes continuation of free trade agreements
• Opposes same-sex marriage
• Has paranoia of foreign regimes
Fear of Communist regimes
• Opposes one world government
• Bemoans the decline of U.S. stature in the world.
• Upset with loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India
• . . . and the list goes on

I'm getting real tired of this "pc" society.
Socialist is the new "n" word? Since the original meaning is now lost, I found this wiki to keep things somewhat straight. Perhaps mainstream outlets could use the link as well?

Wow! That's a shady way to race bait. So I guess when I say "Socialist Republic" describing France, I am saying they are the N-Republic. It's funny how race is attached to everything these days. Not once in my life have I discriminated against someone of another race. However the goons on TV would like to make you think otherwise just because of skin color.

What really gets me though? The precarious position this must put blacks that do describe Obama's agenda as Socialism.

What does that even mean, socialist now means N*****?

How does one even manage to come to that conclusion using any form of sensible logic whatsoever? Who says? How does one even validate such a retarded statement of logical fallacy?

What is next? Anyone who opposes the health care catastrophe is now racist? Anyone who drives a black car or wears a black hat is a racist? Where does the racial based prodding end?

How many times can one administration play the old, ragged and tired race card before losing all credibility?

I gotta tell ya.... both sides of this mess have issues to cover and a lot to learn in general, but this administration and the blinding, nauseating amount of race pimping that they perpetrate is an embarrassment and I would say down right irresponsible.

It's simple. Any word or opinion that the establishment want to keep a lid on, anything that challenges their agenda, is racist. Throwing the R word at everything is an instant silencer of free-speech. Problem is, the more they use the R word, the more desensitized and sick of it we all become, and the less relevance the word has.

That's it!

MSNBC is what Fox was when Repubs were in power.
Yes yes we all already knew that

But this is getting more and more and more stupid by the second.
MSNBC is for dumb people i'm sorry, and I've had them as home page for IE for 3 years now.

Ladies and Gentlemen... I AM OFFICIALLY A COMPLETE IDIOT!

You embedded the video, maybe you should watch it.

The "N Word" is a social taboo. It was used to describe another instance.

I agree with your last statement.

I can't wait to tell my friend this. I can just see it now. "Hun, you know I would never call any one in your family by the "n" word 'cause you would pop me in the teeth, so do you mind if I call them socialists instead?"

but then again, her being as much of a liberty lover as I am, she might take the "S" word as a bigger insult before I had a chance to explain.

"You start to wonder whether in fact the world socialist is becoming a 'code-word'. Whether or not socialist is becoming the new 'N-word', for ugh.. frankly for some angry upset 'birthers' and others."

That is what he said in the video. He didn't go off into a tirade on how the "socialist" remark is becoming a new taboo like the N-word was or is. He just comes out in saying, "Is socialist code for N***er.". Point me in the direction in which he has a logical argument where social taboos and off-handed remarks are entering the metamorphosis stage that you just went and made up? Where socialist becomes some sort of politically-correct N***er word. Please...

Stupid, childish, sick remark on behalf of a supposed "news anchor". How about we stop bringing up the word N***er. Leave it to the uneducated, inbred fools. Don't bring it into politics or MSM ffs.

Go pick that cotton you lazy socialist!

No, dosen't compute. These guys are getting desperate in their rhetoric. This is a bad sign because it means they need more catalyst events to not lose control of society.

Eyes open, cameras ready folks.

Im having a hard time understanding this.
First i thought the "n word" was nazi.. now it seems its "'n-word'"..
Please explain to me.. As you said that MSNBC seems to be pro Obama, you think the government is trying to relate people that are agaisnt socialist ideas with racists? Is that what you are saying?

Im confused

and N word equals Nigg*r which technically only means ignorant fool but i guess got vauled to my brown pigmented race.

Well on that we can agree. If there is ANYTHING Fair and balanced it is that MSNBC is fringe extreme left and then there is the polar opposite which is FOX News on the extreme right. The scales of extremism are equally balanced in the middle. Much the same way Michael Moore and Rush Limbaugh cancel each other out. That you allowed the MSNBC home page annoy you for 3 years when it is a "Button-push" to change is beyond me and makes your quote above quite valid.

ON TOPIC:

I think there is some validity to his comments. He clearly qualified his comments, mentioned he "hoped that wasn't the case" and brought up the fact that labels were cast on the other side like "right wing nuts."

I feel there are many "code-words" and "talking points" spewed from both sides. Its is like picking up a partisan cold.

Thanks for the opportunity to respond.

What an ignorant moron! Isn't ignorant short for the "N" word to! God, they just need to shut up. So now every person that thinks obama is a socialist is a racist to? What about all the black people that think he is a socialist? I know a whole lot of them!
Don't even get me start, it is crazy how these people think. I mean they look for any reason to call something racist. They need to worry about their people getting out of these ghettos and getting out of jail and staying out of jail rather then trying to through everything back on other people! That is what they need to worry about!

I think I know I was just watching Congressman Scott who had the swastika painted on his sign.

He received a letter that has the picture of Obama at the top.

Here's what he said :

There are other things we have received in the mail such as this which depicts Obama as a clown with the swastika on his forehead and says death to marxists, foreign and domestic, meaning some of the concerns that Birthers have. Then it says, "To 'n-word' David Scott, you were , you shall forever be a 'n-word', an ethiopian can not make himself white."

I mean this is just outrageous, has no place in this debate. We need to bring to the American people and explain what the public option means without the tension...

UPDATE: I don't know why ATS filtered that word, but Congressman Scott did not filter it. He felt the letter should be read in it's entirety.

And then he goes on to explain his support for the "public option".

Yep, socialist and marxist have both become the "acceptable epithets" of the day and, at least in this instance I cited, have become interlaced with racial epithets. But that makes sense. Keep in mind the KKK was a political movement aimed at keeping America White.
