Back on topic though, Obama's white house is probably trying to find 12 people who still fall for his con game. Good luck trying to find 12 million to staff his Baghdad Bob operation of debunking his health care proposals.

Sadly he is likely to find 'enough' people to do pretty much what he is doing and that's not 'debunking' but continueing to confuse the Health Care issue, because you really can't debunk a Bill that does not exist and no Bill exists at this point in it's finalized form.

He is finding lots of people to champion his cause though and many of them in very dubious and disturbing ways and that's why I wrote the White House complaining.

Email I sent.
The best way to debunk the myths is to Refer to the Actual bill to answer these concerns, with links to the bill.
No one wants to listen to someones Opinion they want the Facts, straight from the Bill.

There is no denying that a lot of this confusion and controversy would go away if there was an actual finalized Bill for people to read. A lot of people are reading the proposed Bills trying to pick them apart but with 5 different Bills and committees still adding things to them all, there really is no Health Care Bill to set the record straight on or debunk and that's the problem in my humble oppinion.

Thanks for posting.

It's real easy go to the White House's new Web Site
Reality Check White House Web Site

At the bottom of the page click on where it says Contact.

It will bring up a fill in email form box.

They require first and last name your zip code and an email address all other information is optional.

Then just write down what you feel and hit send.

There is a box you can check if you want them to reply back to you.

I checked it but so far I haven't gotten any reply to my letter.

It took me about 10 minutes to write them the letter, so it's not a big investment in time, but it is an investment in the America you would like to see!

Thanks for posting.

This is so sad, day two has almost come and gone now and still no reply from the White House!

What could they be doing over there?

How do they do it!

Have you heard a response yet from the White House? On a related note I found this video of Ron Paul talking about a national health care from a while back. I'm not sure when it was shot, but it was interesting.

The video looks like it was shot in the early eighties to me based on the tie, the anchors shirt collar, the video quality and the fact that people still had VCR's!

He is correct that governemtn drives up the price of everything because basically if a Congress Person hands in a reciept to the Treasury Department that says he paid 6,512.14 for a pack of gum, the Treasury Department is going to cut the check. The Government is an absolute gravy train to do business with and they pay every bill as presented as long as it's a properly presented bill.

All the lobbyist have to do while wining and dining a congress person is say you know we really need this for this can you help us out, here let me get the check and boom, the congress person makes sure you get the check.

I was closing a deal with a congress person one day having lunch at a waterfront marina restaurant on a sunny afternoon and he said, wow what a beautiful day I sure wish I could go out on the water. I excused myself from the table for a moment, ran to a phone booth, looked in the yellow pages, called up a local yacht rental place and they had a 45 foot cabin cruiser pulling up to the restaurant in about 25.00 minutes, captained, the refigerator full and a couple of pretty hostesses on board. After 5 hours out on that boat the congress person basically would have signed off on not just the sale I was trying to make but basically any number I put on the sale. That's how congress people do business. That's what's drives up cost. The boat and the lunch and the girls set me back close to 1,200.00 dollars but hey, you just tack the cost of that on to what you are selling them and the government pays no questions asked once someone in Congress signs off on the bill.

It's really not a good idea to have government in health care!

I think that video was shot during his Presidential run in 1988 on the Libertarain party. Here's a more recent video:

I think it funny that Obama made an argument against his healthcare plan with his post office comment. Probably not the best comparison to make when talking about private business in competition with the gov't. I watched Obama's town hall and I just didn't get the overall impression that Obama even believes what he's saying. I understand a campaign is a little different than a town hall, but there just wasnt' the usual fire in his speech. As much as I might disagree with his policies I have to give him credit for being able to deliver a speech no matter how prepared it is.

I have never listened to or watched Obama speak. My own personal belief is all politicians are bought and paid for before they even run for office. They have talking points to entertain the voters but they have a pre-planned hidden agenda from their corporate Masters that they have to follow.

As someone whose been a professional musician in the past, I can tell you having an audience can be entoxicating and you can draw a lot of energy from one as well as a real sense of power. Kind of like your M-16 when you were in the Military locked and loaded on full auto. You feel in control and in charge.

Yet like the Beatles when John Lennon want to pursue artistry and Paul McCartny wanted to pursue commercialism Obama like Lennon has become a star but lacks the vehicle and independence because he is bought and paid for to be the person/artist that he has convinced his fans he is.

He is loosing fans because of that, and whether he is naive or not to where he thought he had such charm and charisma that he could push an opposite agenda from the one he promised people and still have his fans love him and admire him I do believe its hurding his pride and ego that he is loosing fans. There is no doubt in my mind that he went in to it knowing exactly what his owners and handlers really expected of him once he became President, but now that he is living with the day to day reality and the constraints and he can see the dissapointment he's causing and he looses that adulation he craves from everyone it just bums him out.

When you make deals with the Devil ultimately Hell becomes a part of it!

Great Video I love Ron Paul! Thanks.

Well it's sad but true but here it is past midnight on day two and neither Barack or anyone from the White House has written me back!

That's change I can believe in!

I guess you're still waiting for a response from the White House. I guess they got more letters than Santa Claus gets so it might take a while. They're probably only responding to pro-healthcare letters, setting up a list of potetntial plants at future town halls.

Alas my concerned and responsible friend, they have not replied as you have surmized. The White House must be too busy for the rabble rousing likes of me!

So sad.

Thanks for checking, I keep checking my email but so far no reply going on the end of day 3!

To be fair, this administration is trying to be more green so maybe they're busy starting up gardens since they like plants so much as evident in Obama's latest town hall fiasco. Somehow I wouldn't be geting my hopes up for a response.

Well, Obama can't say I am not being fair and not giving him an opportunity to respond to me!

In many ways my letter to them could technically only recieve one honest response.

BUSTED sorry! You caught me man. Can you give a poor brother from another mother a break here?

I would love to see that, it would be the only honest reply!

I don't think that honesty is very important to this administration anymore. Granted that can be said for virtually every politician out there, but these jokers are taking it to a new level. I would think at least they'd send out a form letter thanking you for your concern and such. I think this whole Heatlhcare thing is a front for something else what eventually comes from it will have very little to do with healthcare reform and more to do with "Society reform".

Personally I think it's about divide and conquer politics, the typical dog and pony show spectacle to keep unemployed, frustrated and angry Americans arguing with one another and blaming one another instead of the corporations and the government itself for their woes.

I highly recomend you read this post I made to another thread to day which is a little bit long, but I think you will enjoy the read and it might give you some added perspective and food for thought.

Response to Skeptic Overlords thread

Still no word from the White House, day three and counting.

I read that and it was a very interesting read. I had never heard of that before so thank you for expanding my knowledge of history. I think a lot more in this country than just healthcare is in trouble. I thought this thread is most distrubring:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I'd be curious to read your thougts on that.

The situation with Apollo is very disturbing and very frightening and very real. It is a classic example of how the Powers that Be use different seemingly unrelated orginizations as basically defacto armies and arms of government to dominate an agenda and impose their will with little to no knowledge by the people such things are being orchestrated in a calculated, premediated and unconstitutional way.

Such orginizations and movements need to be challenged, exposed, confronted and fought against when and where ever possible.

Our future is literally at stake here.

I couldn't agree with you more. This group almost makes me miss the Necons at least their plans had the basic sturcture intact. These people want to totally revamp everything stripping all individuality. While they might have a vast array of resources, there is one thing they can never conquer. I'll like G'Kar explain it, fast forward to 2:15, very powerful speech and one that is very relevant today.
