The way they responded was utterly uncalled for. They could have just protested as well.

Turning up with weapons and trying to storm premises were the EDL is hiding in order to hurt them is extremism in itself and should not be tolerated.

The actions of the Asians is even more disgusting than those they were "protesting against".

Is it? Well I suspect "the asians" wouldn't have been on the streets with sticks if they hadn't felt threatened by a bunch of drunken racists shouting abuse and calling for them to be "sent home".

My loyalties lie with who is in the right, this little organisation of racists isn't.

They should stop inciting and participating in violence.

In the right? While their methods might be very questionable, their motives are ones felt by alot of people in this country. They were also not the ones who turned up with weapons.

These people have THE RIGHT to march, those that disagree have THE RIGHT to march.

They do not have the right to turn up and start a riot just because they don't agree.

It seems to me that muslims are totally incapable at dealing with any criticism directed their way and only know one way to respond.

With violence.

That isn't the British way.

We all know you'll support the Asians, even if they cut off someones head, as you are one of them.

For a moment i'm going to credit whoever is responsible with the EDF with some intelligence. Its a great way to cause division to make "the other side" look bad then play the holier than thou card.

Its so transparent as to be laughable but as the people they want to impress are of limited intellect it'll probably work.

These types of organisations prey on those who are easily led to believe what they want to and are far more divisive than what they're up against.

What you fail to grasp is groups like the EDL and the BNP get their support because there are real concerns in this country over mass immigration and "islamification", whether true or not, that are not being addressed by the mainstream parties.

It cannot be ignored forever.

Then Asian lads go and go stupid things like this, which only further solidifies the extreme rights position.

Oh I'm sorry for not taking the side of a bunch of mindless, drunken, feckless neandethals, the type of MORONS who show us British up to the rest of the world.

Well that pretty much sums up Socialist Workers Party and Class War supporters who were actively involved in the riots!

Unfortunately you just blindly believe the PC driven nonsense spouted by MSM.

Just who attacks who?

Thankfully, the vast majority of this country do not support this organisation or its agenda.

Thankfully the majority of this country are beginning to wake up and recognise the threat that groups like UAF pose.

Organisers of this march had followed the ridiculous legal procedure to get this march sanctioned.
It is their democratic right to protest.
Groups like the UAF want to take our basic, democratic rights away from us so they can pander to these fanatics who are hell bent on turning this country into a replica of the #holeistan they came from.

So then, are the racist thugs proud of themselves today?

Hang on a minute. If you take for gospel everything the mainstream news has said about these events, then I daresay you don't even belong on ATS. There is a clear agenda to misrepresent.

- The EDL have stated, repetitively, that they are non-racist, non-violent, non-political and only oppose extreme Islam. I even wrote an article for their website pointing out the danger of far-right infiltration.
- The EDL were predominantly on the defensive yesterday. By all accounts it was the Asians and small number of UAF who turned up with the intention of causing trouble.
- The EDL, despite having coordinated yesterday with the policy FULLY, were denied their rights of free speech and protest. Dozens were imprisoned in buses and driven out of the city, others imprisoned in pubs, and none were allowed to demonstrate in one of the public places the police had agreed to allow them to.
- By all accounts, the gangs of Asians had absolutely no restrictions on them. Is it any wonder that some of the EDL grew frustrated?

You, sir, have swallowed the establishment's lies about the EDL. They are non-racist, non-violent, non-political and only oppose extreme Islam. Any troublemakers were most probably not members of the EDL, or were merely defending themselves against vicious Asian gangs. Yet for some reason you have the audacity to say it was the EDL, not the Asians gangs who are dispicable.
