If one is to believe the official opinion of Swine Flu, it is dangerous in as much as it is capable of mutating far quicker than the regular flu viruses we experience every year.

In addition, if it comes into contact with the Avian Flu virus, it certainly has the potential to become devastating to the population of the planet as a whole.

Other than those points, the Swine Flu virus is "expected" to come back with a vengeance in the Autumn months, along with the usual upsurge in normal seasonal flu viruses.
That, of course, allows for a greater chance of a mutation.

Personally, I am suspicious of this vaccine.

I would be suspicious of every medical intervention provided under such hurried and dramatic circumstances.

I intend to follow my gut on this one, and I won't be volunteering to have any vaccine unless a person close to me becomes seriously ill. Then I'll perhaps consider it.
Until then, I'll keep washing my hands, I'll continue to be vigilant, and do what I can to keep my immune system in good shape.

And if it becomes mandatory, I'll be one of the ones on the front line protesting against my nanny-state government and everything they stand for.

-IS this a pandemic in the making or just a scare tactic for some other purpose?

1 - According to the WHO is it a pandemic. However, one has to be circumspect about accepting that the WHO is an apolitical body devoted to the improvement of the human condition. Many, MANY, seem to have evidence that they are not; it is frequently alleged that they are lead and motivated for the most part by capitalistic exploitation and no small degree of ideological bias. - I'll leave the research to you.

2 - 2800 people might be a statistically significant test group but TIME is the key here. In other words, if these 2800 are side-effect free for the next 6-10 months, that means it safe? I don't think so. Some may decide otherwise. Frankly, the ad hoc addition of other 'unapproved' and 'untested' substances in the vaccine clinch it for me; no way am I getting exposed to something that could affect me the same way some prior Swine Flu vaccine recipients were affected. (check the records for the mid 1970's for how many were crippled or died.)

3 - If it was made optional? 2012.

The adjuvant 'squalene' that is used in this vaccine is the same one that caused Gulf War Syndrome in a lot of our troops. Only the troops that were injected with the anthrax vaccine came down with the GWS. It is an ingredient used in THIS vaccine as well. I think parents who know this should be held criminally liable for any children receiving this poison. And why do pharmaceutical companies want to sell all these vaccinations? I wouldn't think that they were just mean, but I KNOW they are greedy! In all fairness, millions of people, 20% of populations, died from flu and other pandemics. And they are saying they are afraid of it happening again, but on a much larger population. Keep a good watch on what you put in your mouth, avoid places like hospitals, and get plenty of sleep. Americans especially are notorious for not getting adequate sleep. The human adult needs eight hours, or a little less. And you need SUN exposure! And you neednt worry about any flu.
