I am almost ready to leave ats due to partisanship, disinfo, agendas and lack of research or sources

I used to enjoying coming here everyday to see great threads about thought provoking theories and ideas. Now it seems a large majority of threads are just spinning mainstream media news and nothing but partisan debates come from them... I am very tired of this trend. I respect people's right to their opinion but come on. Lets work together for a common cause of good and not feed into the partisan game... Like I said it is making we want to leave this website. I hope its just the summer effect on this site.

I know what you mean. When you are not really blue or red it is hard to pick a side here sometimes. I think about not reading ATS from time to time, but then someone offers a dazzling bit of insight, and I decide to stick it out. I mostly enjoy reading what is going on and using all of the knowledge presented to discover the truth.

I hope you decide to stick around. I was just getting settled in here, and you are among those whose posts I like to read.

I am not gonna leave... I am just getting extremely frustrated reading threads that have nothing but page after page after page of bs in them... I guess I am fed up with the partisan system and seeing it so brightly on an alternative sight angers me... very much

I don't really recognize you, but I think I do

I've thought about leaving quite a few times, and still am.

The whole site is partisan almost now, heck even I am in parts of it! I'm guilty!

Yet the ignore button is good

The hate talk gets old, and i'm certainly guilty of it, but when hate is given for hate it only breeds more hate, and so on and so forth.

Since Healthcare is a main issue here, don't feel like that will go away any time soon.

Don't think it's a summer effect, it most likely isn't.

I'm sure your also sick of seeing well thought out post get slammed with one guys saying your a d***weed, and getting a ton of stars. Like what did he do other then criticize.

ATS is very hypocritical to the utmost.

I'd of left, but all in all, it's the best site, if I had found a better one, I'd be on it, but this is the best, it has it's faults though. And I may contribute a little

I thought your title was funny.

Now I know you redacted this thread of yours titled Chemtrails Photo and Research Thread Part 2 but going through that opening post I noticed a few things like did it have a little bit of partisanship? Check. Disinfo? Check. Agenda? Check. Lack or research? That's a big ten four!

I hope you're not planning on leaving ATS on the account of yourself...

Sometimes those that would deny ignorance, are actually the ignorant. We need to focus on issues and not accuse someone of being a socialist or right-wing nut job. Mostly likely neither person is and that just pisses people off.

the same people that say " Obama is just a puppet" are the same people who say " the world is going to hell because of a democrat"

i'm not a Obama supporter, i'm NOT a republican, and i'm not a democrat.

you have to remember the president is nothing but a puppet, it has nothing to do with them being a democrat or a republican trying to pass whatever there trying to pass...

just like okay what if a republican won and was trying to pass the same health care bill, would you support it then? are you basing everything on the title of a political party?

I am almost ready to leave ats

Can I has your stuff?

Oh, wait. I guess that doesn't work here.

I am very tired of this trend.

ATS is what it is. The quality of the discussion is limited by the people who participate, and for as many years as I've been around ATS has always had a large number of detractors. Sometimes you have to sort through a lot of trash to find a gem. ATS has been, is, and will probably continue to be this way.

If you cannot accept that, then try taking some time away. Odds are good it will still be here for you in six months.

In political crisis the signal to noise ration gets pretty crazy.

If you find a poster that is 100% abuse and rhetoric, just hit ignore.

Maybe apply the 3 strikes rule on them.

I do not ignore ppl because I want to try to either help them see
what I think is the truth, or have them open my mind to their
perception of their perspective of the truth.

Some of the things discussed on here are perspective.

We all see the world in different ways based on how we were raised,
and the path we walked to get where we are now.

We are products of our environment.

We are seeing the media even telling two different stories.

Once will say the economy is looking up, the others will post links
like the one I put in my long post on the coming financial collapse.

Any way you cut it, there is some proof out there that some or all
of the ppl are telling lies all or some of the time.

So in a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

Credits to Mr. Orwell...

Good Luck to you all !

I'm glad you'll be sticking around.

I think like anywhere else, the occasional person comes here driven by an agenda. They see that there are many outspoken freethinkers here, and they want to break up our collective so that we don't make any major breakthroughs. Some of these people may be part of a larger organization, and sent here to disrupt our ever growing community. It is dangerous for those without our best interest when people are awake and paying attention.

You make sure you slam that padlock on as soon as he does too

OP...we may have different views on some things, but I agree with you. Its important to remember that disinfo comes from both sides, and if you want to keep posting on ATS, then you will just have to learn how to put up with it.

I did.....adn so did republican....in facty republican puts up with it very well, as he's always attacked by certain 'cliques'

I do not ignore anyone, no matter how bad their posts tend to be. If part of the signal is filtered out, you can't always see the whole picture.

Whats going on at yellowstone?

The day that thread started is the first day I read something on ATS. Over the next few days I read each and every post that was made there and I was amazed at the teamwork that I saw. I have never posted to the thread, but I have read all 469 pages. Everytime I think that I might stop reading ATS, I think of that thread. If anything serious is ever going on, this is the only place on the internet I feel viable solutions will be presented.

Maybe you were a member long before I became one. I don't know. I didn't check. I have always found threads that were stimulating to me. When I run across something that seems unfounded, I do a google search, or another type of search. That helps me. I never expected to be spoonfed information here, I guess maybe that was the way it was before I came here? It's so much easier that way, yes? But even if someone posts a link, or a quote, I still like to research it myself. Maybe I will find something beyond a posters link, which undoubtedly supports his or her claim.

Anyway, if you are tired of this place and want to move on, I wish you the best.

I'm guessing that ATS has grown and new people are having the same diluting effect they have anywhere leading to a move towards a lowest common denominator. More and more people seem to be looking for some kind of belonging and the amount of mindless babbling back and forth and divergence from the topic of the thread indicate that the "monitors" either not able to keep up or guided to try and make ATS a twitter of cheap, pointless entertainment.

That thread was impressive... I really enjoyed it, even though nothing happened from the seismic activity... anyways... I am going to stay but I hope we can all work together into our collective goal of deny ignorance... put aside any personal views on if you think I am loony cause I believe chemtrails are real and have negative effects on our health... its irrelevant to this thread chadwicks... I would love to see this mindless babble fade and more intelligent conversation and debate unfold... please...

I get where you are coming from as I have grown tired of the 100's of threads on obama bashing. I don't even like the guy but is it really needed to have your recent posts page filled with a large number of hate threads by generally the same group?

It would be cool to be able to customize your main posts page as I generally just look at the recent posts page but would love to ignore the political BS that goes on this site.

I have no intentions on leaving though because the positives of this site far out weigh me needed to click the back button. I don't agree with ignoring people though as there could be a time they post something I would have never thought they knew or were into.

The sad state of the current threads is just a reflection on whats going on in the world today and its pretty sad. People are more concerned with looking good then trying to figure out whats actually the best for this country. Politicians are working to get re-elected, not do whats in your best interest.

News groups are in overtime to try and spin whats going on right now and it should make people wonder why they would be so against a certain issue... Follow the money.

When everyone liked Obama it made me wonder what does this guy have to hide that so much money is being thrown at him. Now they are telling everyone why people should be so upset about getting everyone healthcare like many other nations already have that have better ranked care then us and it makes me wonder what I'm missing and who would gain what by this failing again.

Keep your head up and hopefully I see you around.
