Insane fear of small numbers....H1N1, Global warming, etc.

The current insanity over small numbers as compared to the whole is growing rapidly. For eample:

Swine Flu histeria....1154 deaths confirmed by the WHO....out of a population 6 billion people...........

The entire contribution of CO2 frm manmade sources is less than 0.003% of the world atmosphere...

Unemployment- only 9.4% of the american workforce is out of work....errr 90.6% are still working.

This is such insanity to fear such small relative numbers to cause such histeria. The news media have all gone insane............or have they.........

I disagree. You're not interpretting the numbers correctly. 0.003% of all the gas in the atmosphere is ALOT of gas. 9.4% of Americans of working age is ALOT of people. The percentage is misleading you. There are over 200 million Americans of working age.

hahahaha, you have just proved my point, you can not see the whole for the small percentage you have been told you must fear.

How can 0.003% affect 99.997% of the whole to any negative extent?

If unemployment is said to be at its "minimum" at 5% or less, how can another 4.4% destroy the economy? Over 90% are still working. The actual change from "fully employed at 5%" to disaster is still only a change of 4.4%. So 4.4% of the whole is completely destroying in other 95%?

Fear is a choice. I don't think the intention of demonstrating scientific fact is to spread fear. But instead those skeptics choose to feel fear instead of exploring intelligence.
No one is panicking, no one is crying, no one is cowering over the information about H1N1 or global climate change. There are those who are intelligent who are preparing for the events. And there are those who are hiding from the future... in the depths of their own emotion.

What percentage of Americans actually pay their mortgage on time? This is not a question that gets asked a lot. For those lucky enough to catch the nightly news tonight, you caught them talking about backlash to the bailout bill passed this week. The most interested part of this whole talk though came right at the very end. Right around the 3:20 mark we find out that 92% of Americans pay their mortgages on time.
