I've been lurking on here for a very long time, decided it was time to start posting replies, etc.

Love all things conspiracy, largely for entertainment value. I believe at least "four-nines" of the stuff here (99.99%) is total bull. However, it's trying to figure-out which ones might represent the last .01% that makes the journey interesting!

In particular, just because a conspiracy isn't true, doesn't mean that it's impossible to happen. For example, conspiracy theories about what a government "could" do (mass internments, red-flag operations, etc), crazy as they might be - may lead to laws or other changes that fix such gaps and prevent the real thing from happening.

So, just for starters ... here's where I stand on a few topics ... Of course, this may change over time as well ...

2012: Another Y2k. I think the Mayan's would have probably reacted to it the way we all did to Y2k (hysteria). But, in the end we all did survive Y2k.
UFO's/Alien's: Open to the idea that we have been visited by other civilization's before and maybe right now as well. But, I haven't seen any evidence to that effect. "Lights-in-the-sky" doesn't equate to aliens to me.
Ghosts/Paranormal: Open to the idea, but not sure yet. I actually see more evidence of this lately, compared to the topic of UFO's and Aliens.
NWO: I don't think there is any grand conspiracy to dominate the world going-on by anybody. In fact, I think some of the ideas attributed to "NWO" conspiracies might actually be good ideas (like a North American currency? eventual shift of global responsibilities over to the UN?). But, some other scenario's should be looked-at, just to make sure they never really can happen (internment camps, etc.).
Religion: I'm not the member of any religion. But, I don't consider myself a true atheist either. I wouldn't say I have faith there is a god, so much as hope that there is. Sometimes, it seems like we can use all the help we can get. I have come to the believe that the Bible was created "by committee" at several points along the way (during which time various manuscripts were added-to or excluded-from the Bible and it's predecessors) , and while it may have a lot of good information and ideas in it (the 10 commandments are at least a good idea to help us get along with one another, if nothing else), is not divine in and of itself. I don't believe in the Book of Revelations (period). I believe that had to do more with Roman oppression going on at the time that it was written, in an attempt to give effected people something to help them live through it. It would be kind of like writing anti-Bush or anti-Obama prophecies right now, to make your own constituents or believers feel better and stay the course. I believe some of the earliest Biblical stories probably have some basis in fact, but probably exaggerated or misinterpreted.
