I thought Congress was supposed to be concentrating on reversing manmade global warming. Then why are they buying 8 new executive jets for their own personal use?

Congress Gets an Upgrade

WASHINGTON -- Congress plans to spend $550 million to buy eight jets, a substantial upgrade to the fleet used by federal officials at a time when lawmakers have criticized the use of corporate jets by companies receiving taxpayer funds.

I know they don't pay any attention to the fact that the U.S. is flat broke. But, how much carbon are these jets going to put into the environment while these self-confessed environmentalists fly back and forth to their fundraisers and other wasteful junkets?

Global Warming is designed to take money away from you (the taxpayer) and give it to Congress to spend how it pleases.

We can't hold Congress to the same standards they place on the little people.

What I've been thinking is who is the government going to buy their carbon credits from? Themselves or Al Gore's corporation?
