Israel last month asked the United State for permission to attack Iran's nuclear facilities, Kuwaiti newspaper al-Jarida reported on Friday.

The paper quoted a "US diplomatic source located in Jerusalem", but the report's credibility was not

According to the source, Israel was serious about its intentions to attack Iran and hit it hard, but the US's lack of response to the request left Israel frustrated and the operation was called off.

Not sure what to make of this.... do Israel really understand the consequences of this!?

Maybe this story not completely accurate, and it's bleeding obvious that it would be stupid to bomb a country whose people are rebelling against the govt. as this only pushes some of those back into the regime's hands.

Israel should give the opposition time to keep putting the pressure on the regime, and let it crumble from within! Airstrikes should be last resort! And that means last resort, and definitely not 1 year before Iran have a nuke.

Good find. The issue at hand should be Israel, and their aggression should seriously be put in check considering they have one of the largest Nuclear arms collection in the world....illegal to boot. See "dimona"

The green light to attack IRAN went to red.

In light of Obama's pro Muslim stance I doubt ISRAEL will ask for permission in the near future and just do it.

The US will be sucked into it anyway.
