#7 United States Air Force Academy

What is going on here?

Military schools being ranked higher than privates Ivy League schools such as Harvard (#5)?

Apparently, when you join West Point, you have to serve the US military for 8 years in exchange for free tuition.

Personally, I would rather go to a local community college because joining the U.S. military means certain death. Yes, certain death.

It's pretty much the most dangerous national army one can join.

Forbes... damn corporate elites going to send more smart lower middle class kids to die to protect the interests of the corporation.

These three sets of numbers are what makes it number one.

Student to Faculty Ratio: 7 to 1

SAT Range: 1150-1350

ACT Range: 25-30

It has nothing at all about it being a military school. They have got good test scores and student to teacher ratio's period. When forbes does the ranking it is based on these three sets of criteria; not who runs the place.

Certain death? You are much safer in the military than a night on the town in some cities. Certainly much safer than behind the wheel of a car also.

A free college education in exchange for 8 years in the greatest Army in the world. That is what makes it #1.

Like it or not the Military turns out a lot of bright minds.

Sucks that they are ruining those minds with their brainwashing (along with everyone else I might add).

But tis true.

Do you think it's better than Harvard and other Ivy League schools? MIT?

1130+ SAT score is good?

Criteria of a good school:

Rich (can support students)
Good location
Good people
Good education

Yes I am telling the truth =D. I'd rather go to a community college than waste my time and risk being killed or sodomized in Afghanistan.

it isn't 1130+ it is

SAT Range: 1150-1350

out of a possible 1500. Which mind you almost 85% of US schools don't even get close to. The average median score is between 850-975. So YES they do get good scores sweetheart. Not everyone has a class of less than 40 students to ONE teacher. The more teachers the more posiblity you have of obtaining high scores and being they are 7 to 1 that is pretty good also.

Let me tell you all how it works...

They label colleges after the Military Academy because that is what's the "Superstar" on the block between colleges.

It gets the job done.

What's the job? To see how fast they could brainwash its students to the point where they get such "Top" grades because they are told what to read and remember. They are Perfect mind slaves.

This is what the "model" of the "ideal" schools are for the Elite to have eventually for the future generation of the masses.

Don't BS man, my Chinese friend's 7th grader can get a 1500 on the SAT.

I'm sure that kid would rather go to Harvard than join the military.

But the article isn't about what someone would RATHER do. It is about an institutions performance. And the military is tops in that respect. Plain and simple.

Of course they also actively brainwash their students... so... ...

But, on the other hand, any indoctrination is a form of brainwashing.

To each their own, I suppose. I wouldn't go to West Point, that much is certain.
