I have problems at the IRS ,basically I owe money. No dispute,I'm taking steps to clear it up,but here's the weird thing ,I called my IRS officer and left a message and when he called me back the number 73788(not real #) came up on my pnone. When I went in to see him his extension on his phone was the same as the number that came up on my phone.weird.do they have me on a direct line?It was like i was a part of there office or something.Any ideas?

It's a calling line identifier feature they have with their supplier. You can have it set to either display the generic number of the originating circuit, or you can have it set to display the idividual extension number.

Nothing sinister, just modern telecoms technology.

EDIT: Sorry...I typed my response as if I was at work, with techno-mumbo-jumbo..
