"Revolts" over healthcare reform?

That's fine.....work to defeat health care reform....drive another nail into the coffin of stuff this country is failing to compete in.....and your offspring can come here and piss and moan about how badly things are going.

I am literally left stunned at the stupidity of some of the comments bemoaning the attempt to draft changes that could have the largest social impact several generations have seen.

Whine and moan about off-shoring technologies.......foreign manufacturers beating the tar out of our competitiveness.....

But you can't see the incredible disaster waiting this country if we don't do something to fix what is clearly a badly broken system. Not to mention its immorality and corrupted ethics.

If you're too stupid to see the need for this action....too stupid to see that it is necessary for global competition.....then you're too stupid to engage in the debate.

Most of you have nothing but the same stupid talking points you've heard from someone else. Many of you seem to know none of the facts......but you've got a ready supply of slogans to spew on Internet forums.

Lazy. That's what it is. It's far simpler to sit back and type stupid stuff into a window on your computer than it is to actually dig into the facts.

If this attempt at a huge social change and improvement fails, I'll have a huge group of fellow "citizens" to dislike and abuse at every opportunity.

Don't bother responding to this....I won't be back to this thread.....it would be pointless, all many of you have is the same dumbass talking points that mean nothing and no real reasoned input into the discussion.

We are talking about 10's of millions of people here. They don't have enough people to secure and round all the people resisting up.

Dont forget how many of those people who "need rounding up" are veterans. Combat vets from several wars over the generations. Men who own guns, know how to use guns, have been trained for and experienced combat. These men do not hesitate when backed into a corner and they do not run.

No wonder we are on "the list"...

Also, I dont know but I think most of the cops and soldiers are on the peoples side in this one.

Oh for sure, it will get ugly real fast if they push the vets and people into a corner like they are doing.

I know after Obama's rat on your neighbor program came out that was a line that should have never been crossed and it has now been crossed, that was the defining moment in this Admin and they just lost horribly, people are not as ignorant of history as they would like to think.

There haven't been revolts yet, this is just the soapbox stage, next is the ballot box, we all know what is after that.

The article below is shocking and really confirms that we should NOT switch to national healthcare.

The National Health Service (NHS) in England is the worlds 3rd largest employer.

NHS is world's biggest employer after Indian rail and Chinese Army

Almost 1.3 million people — or the combined populations of Birmingham and Coventry — work for the NHS, which is one of the world’s biggest employers.

Just imagine the number of people it will take to run Obama's nationalized plan here in America. Is this the system we want? I don't think so.

Only the Chinese Army and the Indian State Railways are believed to employ more people — with 2.3 million and 1.5 million staff respectively

Do we really want a system where paper-pushers and administrators out number the doctors and nurses? I don't think so.

This along with the recent Stanford University which shows how much better the current healthcare U.S. system is compared to the UK and Canadian systems, I don't think we can afford to let this happen.

The new attention to the agreement could prove embarrassing to the White House, which has sought to keep lobbyists at a distance, including by refusing to hire them to work in the administration.

The White House commitment to the deal with the drug industry may also irk some of the administration’s Congressional allies who have an eye on drug companies’ profits as they search for ways to pay for the $1 trillion cost of the health legislation.

But failing to publicly confirm Mr. Tauzin’s descriptions of the deal risked alienating a powerful industry ally currently helping to bankroll millions in television commercials in favor of Mr. Obama’s reforms.

The pressure from Mr. Tauzin to affirm the deal offers a window on the secretive and potentially risky game the Obama administration has played as it tries to line up support from industry groups typically hostile to government health care initiatives, even as their lobbyists pushed to influence the health measure for their benefit.

Notice now many Police Chiefs resigning lately, people in high positions within our Gov resigning, the same within our military and it's all because they don't want anything to do with whats coming. They morally and ethically don't agree with the changes as military moves in so they want to take care of their own.

Be on the lookout for a false flag, and pretty soon.

There is and has been a substantial amount of speculation concerning this problematic issue. My feelings are as follows.

1) We do need some modification of our current system. Why? It is not only 48 million without insurance which costs all of us when they use our over crowded emergency rooms for service. The private and public industries are overwhelmed with the rising costs of insurance. My insurance for my self and family costs 13,000 a year and is off set by my agreement with my employer. Both political parties agree there has to be some reform.

2) The call of any reform or government programs as socialism is simply a scare tactic by the uniformed or unintelligent. Medicare, Medicaide, and the Vetrans medical system are all government run, relatively effective or ineffective based upon whom you ask. No one has been calling these programs socialistic. And, by the way, Who Cares What You Call It...if you can get it to work and help America as a whole.

3) The utterly moronic attacks upon any Senator or Representative who attemps to hold a civil dialoge with the community shuts down the discussions we need to have. If these people and groups continue this, the rest of us can not be heard or informed and the current administration
can and will push something through. That, I feel, will really piss off those who have been breaking up those meetings in the first place.

I would love to say, "Can't we all work together." but I know it is a volitile situation.

I do not want to lose my health care and can't afford to pay more. I also can't afford for my pay check to keep getting smaller and smaller every year because of healthcare costs. We as a nation have to do something and stop acting like complete morons, just wishing it away and shouting
"Just Say No"
