My friend you forgot to add the link, unless the tube link is the news stories.

I am very surprised that unions are to take to this task, after all what the unions had to do with all this.

I am just wondering, still when you have angry people nobody is going to stop them from protesting.

TY for the reminder.

I've noticed that the majority of these "Protesters" at these meetings are senior citizens or fast approaching that age. The anti-protesters are most likely not going to be seniors and this is going to start the chilling effect on these senior tax payers and get exactly what Raham and his jack boots want. They are going to bully and threaten and, I predict, injure a few before this is finished! These unionists have no dog in the hunt and should not be allowed to intimidate these brave and correct citizen protesters! I am a union member and would NEVER participate in the tactics of these brownshirts!

Maybe you guys haven't seen this yet, or maybe you have, but check this out, this is one of the dots that leads me to think the way that I do about this situation.

Really?

Now I'm not trying to say it was intentional or anything, but the similarities are striking.

Then when I read threads like this, it makes me question my sanity.

It's really coming down to it.

Zindo, I am thinking a lot of Union members might feel the way you do.

No problem, thanks for the quick response my friend.

I guess after reading other posters I see where the help comes from, help the unions and they will pay back the favors.

I wonder if violence arise from this it will be blamed to out side interest groups.

It seems that the best way the present administration is fighting criticism is blaming protest on interest groups.

And to think we got three more years of this crap.

I could agree with this definition of Unions

Unions function as labor cartels. A labor cartel restricts the number of workers in a company or industry to drive up the remaining workers' wages, just as the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) attempts to cut the supply of oil to raise its price. Companies pass on those higher wages to consumers through higher prices, and often they also earn lower profits. Economic research finds that unions benefit their members but hurt consumers generally, and especially workers who are denied job opportunities.

Cartels are known for bullying.

The union people have as much right to attend these town halls as the GOP "concerned citizens" bused in by insurance company lobbyists do...

BTW the term for this stuff is "astroturfing" - as in "fake grassroots"

I thought it was kind of sad, especially the old lady at one who was carrying a sign that said "get the Government out of my Medicare!"

What?!?

You are correct they do, but not to bully these people.

I might as well add this

Cornyn accuses White House of compiling 'enemies list'

Texas Sen. John Cornyn, accusing the White House of compiling an "enemies list," has asked President Barack Obama to stop an effort to collect "fishy" information Americans see about a health care overhaul.

Cornyn, who leads the Republicans' Senate campaign effort, said Wednesday in a letter to Obama that he's concerned that citizen engagement on the issue could be "chilled." He also expressed alarm that the White House could end up collecting electronic information on its critics.

"I can only imagine the level of justifiable outrage had your predecessor asked Americans to forward e-mails critical of his policies to the White House," Cornyn wrote.

Cornyn was responding to a post on the White House's blog Wednesday in which users are asked to help stop the spread of disinformation about legislation to overhaul health insurance. The post offers an e-mail address, [email protected], for users to forward anything "on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy."

I wonder if it is possible to unionize the unions?

You know kind of fight back at what their tactics are. Go around to their labor offices and harass them every waking moment of the working day. I wonder how they would feel about that?

Edit to add-

Thanks for the links too Stormdancer, the agenda is starting to become clear.

Look what happened in Dallas at an AARP meeting discussion on Obama’s healthcare nightmare. These senior citizens decided to stand up against it, and the AARP folks didn’t like it one bit. I think Democrats like Nancy Pelosi will have a hard time persuading people these guys were plants from the vast right wing conspiracy “mob

Look at these hardcore extremist

Whoa! You've got some kool aid running down the front of your shirt there, buddy! Maybe if you weren't guzzling so much of it...

These are fake grassroots people - like Cindy Sheehan, right!?
Nope, these are everyday people concerned that we are becoming Venezuela!!!
Just look at Barry's poll numbers, sinking like a boat made of stone!

What sickens me is when the liberal whackos protest, it's "Mainstream" America (My ass!:dn
, but when real ordinary Americans speak up against these socialist agendas they're "Swastika carrying mobs"

PUH-Leeeeeeeeez! Give it up already. The liberal pukes are a teeny-tiny minority attempting to implement wildly unpopular socialist ideals upon an entire nation of epople that DON'T WANT THEM! Why can't you epoepl come to grips with the facts!?!?

My grandma would be in one of those meetings if she could move around better. She is scared that this healthcare bill is going to affect her in a negative way. What is surprising is that she voted Obama, loves obama, and defends him 100%.

As a matter of fact she says that this is Congresses Bill not Obama's.

Unions To Take On Conservative Groups Health Care Town Halls

Everyone does know the only reason the unions are behind this Democrat sponsored stupidity is because they will not be affected by this 'healthcare' bill, right? Obama and Congress have already assured the unions and their members that they will still be allowed to keep their, by Barry's & Congress' standards, luxury healthcare packages with none of the penalties Barry & Congress are going to impose on all nonunion private healthcare packages. I have a feeling we're gonna see some blood spilled before this is over.

I'm not buying any Kool Aide - either your brand or theirs

And I fail to see where I have ever endorsed Cindy Sheehan for anything - I'm definitely not a fan

Yes, that is sickening.

How can anyone defend this?

I just hope they remain verbal fights and they don't break down into physical violence.

Can you imagine?

There are a lot of veterans at those meetings, a lot of older folks, Democrats too, can you imagine the videos of union thugs bulling old men and women?

Oh I forgot, they wont air that on TV.

Lots of older folks who are already on a socialized health care plan they are not willing to give up. But yet they go and protest against socialized medicine. If ignorance was money this country would have no economic worries whatsoever.

Unions showing up to strong citizens at town hall meetings?

Best news I've heard in a long time!

It'll remind everyone why they don't like the Unions!

Very foolhardy play, has Rahm Emanual written all over it.

Unions Vs. American People = Unions Lose

To quote Isoroku Yamamoto, "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant."

In today's context, the Middle Class sleeping giant. This idiotic strategy will fail.
