One is the international symbol for medicine, and one is an O standing for his name, this thread is a waste of time, sorry for even commenting,

No you're not. If you were you wouldn't have commented in the first place. We aren't blind or idiots we know what the two symbols are in the Obama Health Care logo.

but the two logos are not even remotely related, the fact that you even see a similarity proves to me you are probably listening to rush limbaugh and believing every word he says,

That is your assumption you are totally wrong about it, you must have missed the part where I said I was having this conversation with a friend and he brought it up so I decided to look at it for myself.

the Obama nazi connection is fiction, in fact there are hundreds of false spam 'Obama nazi' posts on craigslist every day, some feel it is bitter republicans, and it probably is, but if you notice they are posted every minute like clockwork, so it is an organized spam effort, isn't changing my mind,

Nobody is trying to make an Obama Nazi connection on this thread, not that I recall at least, except you by interjecting posts on what people are posting on Craigslist in this thread. What does Craigslist and what people spam on there have to do with this thread? Because Obama's Health Care logo and the Nazi logo have similarities?

I could easily say that the efforts to debunk everything anti-Obama is an organized spam effort. This thread isn't about changing minds, it is about the similarities between the Nazi logo and Obama's Health Care Logo.

I don't mind the joker posters in LA, heading towards socialism? maybe, but saying a black president is a nazi is like saying the kkk are feeding the poor in africa, if your talk trash about the president of the united states, deal with facts, give some examples that aren't tabloid journalism.

What does the joker posters in LA have to do with this thread?

Again I never said Obama is a Nazi, and in case you didn't look at the pictures posted in the OP, there are similarities between the Nazi logo and this one by Obama.

How about this, instead of attacking the messenger how about attacking the message. So far all you have done is relayed a bunch of your opinions most of which are not even related to the thread.

And to finalize this, the similarities between the Nazi Logo and Obama's Health Care logo, are strikingly similar, I don't see how you can deny that as a fact when the proof is right there in the OP.

We were trying to discuss whether it was intentional or just an honest mistake.

I'll take that one further. The Pro-Obama threads and posts are most likely just ACORN. I think even the one's that have been here for awhile have been recruited by them and are getting paid to act totally blind to what is going on.
Ignore Obama's own words from the past. And probably marking our names down and sending them to the whitehouse.gov people.

Now that would in no way sound like something from the 40's now would it.............

No, that doesn't sound anything like what happened in the mid 30's and 40's.

I swear people just refuse to open their eyes and see it for what it is worth and the parallels to history. I'm not saying this logo is intentional by any means, but the pro-Obama people just refuse to get it.

The track this country is heading down is not in our best interest in anyway shape or form.

They can't see why people are PO'd and I feel sorry for them because one day they are going to wake up and look out there window and see people shooting it out in the streets. I don't want it to happen by any means, but when you refuse people a peaceful revolution you only leave them violent revolution.

This logo is just yet another piece of propaganda to examine for the over all evaluation of this admin. It might just be stupidity or hidden intentions I don't know the only people that know are the people instrumental in designing it.

The white house healthcare hotline sounds a lot like the "Nightwatch" movement off of Babylon 5

babylon5.wikia.com...

Nightwatch was established to recruit normal citizens, including local police and encouraged them to uncover and report on what was perceived to be "subversive" activities. Such subversion was deemed to include open criticism of Alliance policy or the Clark regime, interacting with aliens on anything more than a professional basis, or anything else Clark deemed to be a threat to his new order. The Nightwatch also had the power to make arrests without warrants, detain suspected subversives indefinitely, and spy on the population at will.

We're not quite at the point of arrests and such, but everything has to start somewhere.

I think, there are only SO many designs one could come up with, using the "medical" symbol, an "eagle"(which the U.S. has been proudly displaying forever) and a simple "unity" or "one for all" symbol...usually represented by an all encompassing "circle".

Maybe the eagle should have the medical symbol in its talons, or beak...dripping the innards of the symbol on the stars and stripes. That wouldn't seem as much "nazi" as this one...

I think some poor young "graphics designer" worked his a#$ off, to come up with that symbol, and probably is too young to really know the other. Sure, a little homework would have helped...but we are a lazy species...or something.

It sounds like it should be fiction.

The sad part about it is that, fascist, communist, doesn't matter this the route they always go down, first it is the media then get the citizens to rat on each other.

This is how it always goes on the road to a dictatorship.

Agreed.

The thing I don't get, is what is this administrations obsession with wanting to label everything they do as their own? They are acting more like a corporation than the government.

What is wrong with just using the medical symbol? That is what I don't get, it seems like he wants to take everything and add his own personal touch to it for absolutely no reason. It isn't like he came up with the idea of medicine and surgery.

They are a corporation now. How much of the auto industry is indebted to the gov't. Their own symbols is so that "the administration" that brought it to "be" is never forgotten.

If they don't get to be on a dollar bill, put their mark everywhere else. haha.

Sad part about it is that you are correct. They pretty much are a corporation.

I like the line about not being able to be on the dollar bill that was good.

Maybe Obama will put his logo on the cars that are made by the gov't run car companies.

Shush, don't give them any idea's.

I can see it now, everybody that drives a GM or Chrysler product, getting a recall notice in the mail saying that their emblems aren't right, they need to get them fixed because it is a safety hazard.

Ok... really?! I'm not an Obama supporter, but you're really reaching on this one. These logos are not even close. I think you're seeing what you want to see. It's just a simple combination of the Hippocrates symbol and the Obama logo. As a designer, it makes more sense to have the health symbol rising out of the O logo, because the wings and snakes have are more visually interesting than the base of the staff and the tails of the snakes.

So I did some research, and here are a few other logos with eagles carrying circular objects. Here are a few United States Departments, eaglescouts, highschools, United States Soccer Federation, beer companies, the Marine Corps, Yemen's coat of arms, etc.

Getting just slightly over eager to bash Obama don't you think? This one is a stretch.

I was asking a simple question, I wasn't saying that it is.

But honestly looking at the pictures you posted a bunch of those have been around before the Nazi party existed.

Also a lot of them you can see the thought process that went into why they chose the logo they did, like the Atlanta Falcons logo, it is a falcon carrying a basketball in it's talon, they are a basketball team. Same with the cops and badges the national bird of America is an Eagle.

As I have mentioned numerous times in the thread I don't think it was intentional. But having the health care symbol rising out of Obama's symbol is strikingly familiar to an eagle holding the Swastika which is the Nazi party symbol.

How is "rising out of" and "holding" simular?

Read that post right up above this one that I just posted, also read what else I have posted on this thread.

I was posing the question, and as I have stated time again on this thread I don't think it was intentional.

But some of the tactics he is using is similar to other things past dictatorships have used in the past.

Edit to add -

Let me ask you a question, don't they resemble each other or do they not?

You can sit here and try to argue semantics all you want, but the fact of the matter is that the health care symbol doesn't have claws to hold anything.

I happen to disagree. But I do see alot of stretching attempts like this one to say that he is. Don't get me wrong I think he is a step in the wrong direction but I also thought that about McCain.

You're right... it doesn't have claws... in fact, it doesn't even have an eagle!
It's a staff with snakes and wings.

Nice try at bringing the whole Nazi theme into this, however your premise could not be farther from the truth. The eagle with spread wings has long been a part of the standard symbol for the medical field.

classic example of the medical symbol

Good to see Godwin's Law hard at work.
