So that would make america WORSE than saddam hussien. Saddam tortured Iraqi's and so you want America to also, which would make America as bad as Saddam! Wake up my friend, if America did not exist who would have ended WWII? I believe we won the cold war, and while Vietnam could have been handled better, the goal was just. The United States has helped far more than they've hurt. And I for one am damn proud to be a citizen of this country.

I have to respectfully disagree. This poor man was there to put up antennas for the Free Iraq Radio so that the Iraqi citizens could have radio reception.

He was not in the military or a wartime enemy. This man was a US citizen trying to help the cause of Iraqi democracy.

The only reason he was an enemy to these people is because he was an American. Is that really a good reason to behead someone like a savage?

I agree it is a tragedy but who said that u guys won the cold war, no or war period, there are no winners, everyone loses evan the people caught in the middle. A country with as much power and influence as america should be more reasnoble to other people's beleifs and religions, u cant just bradish somone a terrorist just because they a re muslim, wars have started that way.

Tis awful to see someone die like that. There are really no words that can even explain it...so i'll move on to the opinion part of this post.

You can't create peace through war. If we are liberators we can't keep pumping troops in there thinking we will be able to secure the place. The only thing that will happen is more death on both sides. Its not supposed to be a war--the war is supposed to be over. We are supposed to be in the peace stage. You can't make peace with combat troops rolling down residental streets in humvees .

The combat units should've been pulled and replaced with specialist. You can't build bridges with bombs. That is why this is not a liberation. Tis the most idiotic thing in the world to believe a soldier can build peace. All he can do is oppress and scare people. The scared will cower and the oppressed will lash out. There is nothing to gain by occupying these people.

If on June 30th we still have 130,000 troops in Iraq nothing will change. We need to withdraw down and build up the Iraqi forces leaving only specialist that can aide in further training and sercurity for our people. Good God...these people are supposed to know what the # they are doing! Idiots!
