Electromagnetic field helped with pain

From 1986 till 1993 I had a job converting software. Magtapes to diskettes, both high and low density to about 300 different languages in both neumeric and carriage return line feed. In my office, neither a phone or clock or even my wrist watch would work. I had a phone but had to turn the tape drive off to use it. Ok well during my 13 yrs in this position as a software conversion operator I had some serious health issues. One of many being osteomyolitis which I understand is supposed to be painful. Being that my doctor could see down to the bone, I couldnt understand why I was able to work 8 to 16 hrs a day and many weeks averaged 60 hrs. I simply had no pain. Yes I had to go home every night and debride the decubidis ulcer and cotterize (sp) it use special surgical ointments, lots of bandages and swallowed cipro till it made me puke. But again no pain. This was only one medical issue I had during those 13 yrs. One night I got tired of all the bandageing etc and sewed myself shut with sewing thread. Needless to say that was a mistake. Hey I was young, blonde, and who knew? ok my question is this.....have any of you ever heard of being pain free while in a magnetic field??? Now it is 2009 and I am disabled and unable to work anymore out side of my home. Everyday is 24 hrs of pain. Is there anyplace you know of to get electromagnetic type of therapy?? Thanks magantice

I do NOT know of such units. There should be such available. Seems like I've come across them occasionally on the net.

I don't know if this Pastor's ministry would be helpful or not. He's helped lots of incurable diseases be healed totally--including lots of chronic pain cases. Many MD's refer patients to him.

He's been remarkably effective with cances, allergy syndromes, arthritis, dreadful diseases that are too rare for medical community interest etc.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do know of this effect. I have a history of a bad lower back, my spine was separated in a semi roll over in 1985. During the 24 years between the accident and my fusion and fixation operation 8 months ago, I had over 100 MRIs. MRI stands for "Magnetic Resonance Imaging." It is a machine that places you in an electronic-magnetic field for the duration of the test. I noticed at first that being in the machine for a short time relieved my pain, but the best time was in 2001. I had fallen and further damaged my back, and my neck fusion was suspected of being cracked too...so, a full body MRI was ordered. I spent over 1 hour and 30 minutes in the machine, and when I came out, I could see into new dimensions of space. I could see things I normally could not see. This effect lasted for several hours, and I would give a lot to recreate it. I had no pain at all for almost a week after this. Sadly, the metal in my lower back precludes me from getting another MRI, ever.

I pray you can find some relief Magantice. I've had a few MRI's but I never noticed any relief from it. I even spent an hour and fourty minutes in it once.
The only relief I've been able to count on comes from the pain specialist - prescription painkillers. I've had dozens of epidurals and lumbar facet injections but they never helped either.
Maybe someone here may have some insight on my condition. I have neither a diagnosis nor prognosis from my doctors. What happened to me is that about 2 years ago i caught the flu. No big deal, right? A few days later my lower body started to go numb. An MRI showed a mass in my spinal cord and considerable swelling. They did an emergency laminectomy (removal of spinal bone) to relieve the swelling but it did not work - the swelling has yet to go down. They tell me it is not cancer yet they don't know what it is. If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.

I have noticed a similar effect with electromagnetic fields. I have a room in my small apartment that is filled to the brim with electronic gear, most of it running and on all the time. Computers, portable stuff. LAN server storage drives etc. I can say that when I enter the room, my back stops hurting almost instantly. I have had back problems since I was 19 when I nearly destroyed a lower spine disk where I worked. Even after working 12 hours, I feel better instantly when I enter my digital universe.

One thing is for sure.....if I was rich I would have a place called The Magnetic Lounge where people could go and sit and read or listen to music in a spa atmosphere. It wouldnt take long for people to feel better. Thanks everyone for the links, the love, and the responses. Now I know Im not totally nuts. I'm glad to know others have had pain relief this way.

I have long held the belief, even without researching it. That EM fields have much more potential than is currently believed. In the wrong places and wrong frequencies it can be harmful, as we can see with prolonged usage of a cellular phone.

Don't want to throw the thread off topic, but I wanted to share an interesting thing I have noticed.

It would seem that people who spend alot of time with computers begin to get in tune with the EM fields of computers. I know people that can simply sit at a computer and fix it without doing anything, myself included. Seems man and machine are able to merge after all.
