Heh. Remember the "Chimp in Charge" photos? Or the "What me worry?" depictions of Bush as the Alfred E. Neuman of Mad magazine fame? It's all good as far as I am concerned. It's our American right to make fun of those in charge. Obamaniacs forgetting the past, is what this is all about. No, that gives them an out on this issue. Obamaniacs just being hypocritical. Yes, no doubt there were many Republicans getting their panties in a wad over the depictions of Bush during the last 8 or so years, and I suspect some of them are now laughing at this latest depiction of Obama. Hypocrits on both sides for sure. Remember the Obama sock monkey t-shirts last year?

I'd love to see someone step forward with a simple response to these people. Somewhere along the lines of "uhhhh, because he is evil and a socialist?"

but like others, yes, it was ok when it was the dummycraps and liberal bleeding hearts had all their charming and trite little cartoons and posters, with much more vitrol in them, but when someone dares say anything about poor saint obambi... well, you see it right already.

If we're seeing it spread around city by city across the country then I'd say it's probably being done by some low to mid-level artist.

The image MIGHT be there just to draw a comparison to how badly the Joker screwed up everything in the film. It MIGHT be there just to give people a giggle or say, "hey look at that." Perhaps it's there to start discussion between people about what it could mean.

Or maybe, and this is my bet, some low to mid-level artist made it and sent copies out to his friends around the country just to see if people would flip out. To incite a strong emotional response or general heated reaction in folks.

Or maybe it was Banksy.

people who say he's a "socialist" and is going to turn our gov't into a socialist dictatorship are absolutely, without a doubt, ignorant and not credible. not as bad as birthers, though

I respect it as art, the designer did a great job but the socialism part is pretty ridiculous.

Yeah that's what every other nation who fell under the power of a benevolent voice said. "This will never happen." I suggest you ...look at this before truly thinking that this could never happen to you.

Does no one else remember seeing T-shirts with images such as these printed on them?

So can someone explain why making Obama look like The Joker is such a "mean-spirited and dangerous" act?

If you're the freaking President of the United States, you're going to get caricatured, ridiculed, and derided. How can anyone see this as an outrage?

I did a quick check on the guy who is claiming the posters are "mean-spirited and dangerous."
Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable President Earl Ofari Hutchinson is an ultra boring windbag who could
listen to himself talk for days. (nobody else would) He likes to list his accomplishments.
"My books have been published in 3 languages. I'm a contributor on CNN, MSNBC, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.....

He has a blog that nobody cares about, he writes books that nobody reads, and he has a YouTube channel with a total of 2 subscribers.
Count em, 2.

He's just a big nobody who yearns desperately for some power.
I'm surprised Obama hasn't made him a czar of something-or-other.

I remember when democrats were making fun of Bush the Republican media (Fox) had the same exact reaction...they were calling the democrats idiots. mean-spirited and dangerous for not having respect towards the president...

-- this whole situation has BIAS written all over it---

Here we go. The media will no doubt jump on this is start a campaign to convince Americans this is a racist right wing attack on a black man. Of course none of these people had a problem with "Kill Bush" memorabilia, constant references to Bush as a racist fascist or even the same sort of posters being made of Bush in Vanity Fair Magazine.

Once again, the Liberals/Democrats/MSM can dish it out, but they cant take it. The only thing "dangerous" about this is the way this man is using his position to threaten people's 1st amendment rights.

Apparently you didnt watch Fox News during Bushs presidency. Tough titty, quit crying and get over it. The repubs have their media outlets and the dems have theirs. Grow up and realize it goes both ways.

Found out about this one last night.

Thinking I'm gonna crop out 'socialism' and put something catchier.

Don't really see what the big deal is, it's just a funny picture.

Viva la First Amendment.

Personally, I think the poster is dangerous.

It's awesome!

For some reason it sticks.

Naysayers can say it racist. How they come up with that, I don't know. As prevoius posters alluded to, Bush was comparared to a chimp. Good God! You could never compare Obama to a chimp.

This is political satire. It is Free Speech. Free speech is uncomfortable to the Government and testing those limits shows us where we stand with our individual rights in this country.

It is dangerous to Obama's carefully crafted image. He, as all politicians, has spent enormous time and energy crafting his image and this puts cracks in his perfect picture.

As far as the comparison goes:

The Joker was more of an anarchist. He played people against eachother and his only real goal was to break the system. To break it for no other reason than that he had personal demons within him that he was going to make the world pay for. He did not have a developed political or personal agenda other than the burning desire to bring chaos.

The Joker in Dark Night was not motivated by money or power but by the desire for chaos.

Obama has some simularities with this character. He came from an obscure background and exploded onto the scene, stunningly defeating a well established candidate with institutional support. Ask Hillary if he is capable of bringing Chaos.

He plays with groups, saying one thing to one group and another to a different group. If you really follow him, you can see he has no particular ideology that drives him. Issues are tools, a means to accomplish an end that is unkown to us. Supporters "assume" he stands for what they believe in.

While always identified as "Black", he is mixed (both African-American and Caucasion). He wears the face of a Black man (the Joker's paint) but, I would not consider him a Black Leader. Neither did the Rev. Jesse Jackson during the primaries. He is not a product of the civil rights movement.

He seems somehow disconnected with America. Somehow not a product of America in a sense most of us are used to. In this respect, it is our instincts that are making us wary of him. He is an unknown and spends much resources in keeping it that way.

For what purpose, I wonder?

Only by learning about the Joker were they able to deal with him.

Only by learning about Obama, will we be able to find out his true intentions.

We must commit ourselves to an intense and honest investigation of this man for he has the capability of being infinately more dangerous than Bush.

Hopefully the Joker Poster will stir peoples instincts so that we can find out who this man, that we elected President, really is.

Heres how it works, the minute they throw the word "RACISM" out there,
it doesnt matter if its racist or not... people run with it, "oh what you dont like obama? you a racist!"

I remember seeing Dick Cheney as Darth Vader and either him or Bush as Count Dracula.

If Obama wants to be remembered as a Man instead of a crybaby he should really learn to ignore some things.

I assure you his term(s) will come to an end...he is not that special.

Thought that these were pretty strange, too.

Now they're all over the net.

This one really is thought provoking to me. The pin of the infamous Watchmen really caught my eye.

Very nice, as well.

Two-faced, too?

I really with I could put in words what my mind is thinking right now.

When that happens, I'll make a thread.
