Iran leader approves Ahmadinejad's second term

Iran's Supreme Leader endorsed the presidency of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a ceremony boycotted by leading moderates in protest at a disputed poll that plunged Iran into its worst crisis since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

I'd like to know what everyone thinks of this. From what I have heard this has been a very bloody reelection. I've also heard recently that a number of Iranian protesters disappeared.

This seems very interesting to me, and I wonder what this holds for the future of the Iranian, and the world in respect to their relation to Iran.
