Here is a VERY rough start!

For me starting and finishing in England. I missed about three of the list off. The best thing to do (I think) is lmit the number of air miles to the lowest possible. This for me would leave me with only two big flights, Africa to SOuth AMerica, and AMerica to England/Iceland.

Like I said pretty basic, but this is how I would start my planning. Theres about 20 countries. If we budget so much for each country, and keep it the same we could end up with a rough total figure. Wonder what that figure would be?.............

Cheers!

Great Job OP. With the world going to hell in a handbasket, everday. Its nice to see something positive and uplifting. Who knows maybe the wonders of planet earth is one of the reasons aliens like to visit so much.
Natural wonders...wouldn't that be something.

The everlasting lightning storm would be awesome to see.

The Blue Grotto is absolutely fantastic. Taking a boat from Positano to Capri takes about 90 minutes. You have three grottos to see, White, Blue and Green. If you take a private boat (about $75), you can stop, hop off the boat and swim in all three.

I'm surprised Lake Vostok didn't make the list. A freshwater lake the size of Lake Ontario beneath 13,000 feet of ice in Antarctica makes the list for me.

great thread thanks for brightening the day!

i have been to the blue grotto...just amazing and a definate wonder.

been also to sharks bay in gorgeous W.A as part of a school trip. back then you listened and learned though its not until your alittle wiser do you really understand what your've witnessed.

alittle more info i found-

◦Until about 500 million years ago, stromatolites were the only macroscopic evidence of life on the planet.
◦The microbes that built the stromatolites were an essential building block for the evolution of more complex life forms.
◦One kind of microbe found in Shark Bay is thought to have descended from an organism that lived 1.9 billion years ago – one of the longest continuing biological lineages known.
