Okay .. I've been here five years and I don't ever remember seeing this.
Is this new or have I been missing it for the last five years?

When I click on 'recent posts', thread titles pop up for the most recently posted on threads.

I'm seeing numbers '1' and '2' pop up behind titles and then disappear later.
Sometimes these numbers pop back up again.

What is that? Has that been there long?

I don't think I'm seeing what you're seeing. You're not talking about the 1s and 2s, 3s, 4s, representing how many pages the thread has and linking to each page, right?

Holy goodness you're right. I have a screenshot, hold up. I just notice it on the very top thread on the recent posts page. But it's not accurate to the page numbers in the thread and it's not a link.

Here, look.

Look at the first thread. There's a big black non-linked 1, followed by the 1 and 2 that correspond to the pages

Edit- And it was a 2 before when a different thread was at the top. Just a 2. Next to a one page thread.

Is this something to do with the "Go Light" and "Go Dark" settings?

You have yours set on light, because it says "Go Dark", while I am at the library and never set that configuration, but it's on "dark".

Yep, it's the same on both Dark and Light.

Although currently on Light you can't view the page numbers of the mysterious grouped boards. You just see a forum in the green category as having only one page.

But I put that in the issues thread awhile ago. Usually issues are the same on both dark and light. The reason that one is different is because it's color related.

Memoryshock- yep.

I saw it finally.

I usually ignore glitches, unless this is actually the Matrix and I'm looking at the woman in the red dress.

For the record, it's doing it for the first thread at the top of Recent Posts in BTS, too.

I think it's just a coding glitch. SO will find this thread eventually and fix the problem =)

It's not a functional issue, so it's really not a big deal.
