End Times, Zombie Plaque in the Bible?

(I am sorry if this upsets anyone, I really didn’t know where to post this.)

Many have speculated about the End Times prophesies in the bible, and what they could mean for humanity if true. Non-Christians may be surprised to learn that the End Times was not just spoken/Prophesized about in Revelations. Jesus touches on the End Times and judgment day many times in the gospels, and even in the later letters it is a common occurrence. (The whole of Mathew 24, Luke 21:5-38, Mark 9:42-50, Acts 2:17-21, 1Corinthians 15:50-58 Just to name a few.)

The Old Testament also preaches about the End Times (Perhaps most notably in the Book of Daniel, where there are numerous Apocalyptic Predictions.)

But the purpose for this thread is because I am a little confused about one of Zechariahs predictions. It says:



Now to those who know me it will be no surprise that when I read this I get the distinct impression of a zombie plague, and I was wondering if anyone had a different opinion/interpretation, Or wanted to share in my insane zombie rant, Or if they have any additional information about this prophesy.

ummm i also dont know if this is true bible verse but i herd it in a zombie movie i dont remember which one but it went like this..... when there is no more room in hell the dead will walk the earth.....if this verse if even a little bit true id like to see please....

Perhaps symptoms of radiation sickness,from the forthcoming WW3?
That would seem more likely than zombie plague!

I am sorry to say that the quote you gave is not biblical. I even double checked my concordance for anything similar and came up with nothing.

The movie in question though is “Dawn of the Dead” in the original the quote was supposed to be from a voodoo culture. It was used again in the recent remake, only this time it was said by a preacher. That may be were the confusion came from.

(I'm a bit of a zombie movie fan in case the thread didn't give it away.)

That’s some good thinking.
Radiation sickness could seem like a person rotting while alive if viewed by an ancient prophet.

But I can’t imagine why you would assume zombies are less likely?

and as a zombie enthusiest dare i mention that theres a connection with resident evil and a virus and there being a h1n1 virus now? lol dont think thatl happen tho

I know zombies are probably never coming. (sigh) But it’s still fun to think about and plan for.

I keep a “bug out bag” and survival equipment just in case the poo hits the fan, but for fun I call it my zombie apocalypse kit.

Radiation comes from other places and sources than just Nukes and Nuke-power-plants.

We do have the vast universe and the gammy-ray phenomena, lets not forget the sun and its X-rays and uv light..

An reduction in the magnetic shield allows more of those things to hit ground and us.. I was thinking in relation to some small issues I've read like Afgahnistan buying 5 mill. Hazmat suits, and the rescent discovery of a New anti-radiation pills just few weeks ago ...

Also if you read the Warngletter (Offtopic, sorry) , it is mentioned that anti-rad. pills is recomended for the coming years, again Im thinking of the maya birth of the 6th sun and solarmax 2012 ...

Everyones jumping to conclusions here...

This biblical text sounds like people who walk around near where I live in Scotland. Could be happening all ready, just because nobody announces it doesnt mean its not happening.

this is a person on crack. he is a crackhead. this is how they act and talk. so zombie, yes he is a zombie. his brain is getting fried. these people need help. they need treatment to get off the crack. crackheads are all zombies, so daniel may be talking about the drug problems of peoples and or other things going on today. this guy in the video is a crackhead.

I know that but the point I am making is the fact that this is a massive problem where I come from and in other areas I bet.

Glasgow is absolutely full of this as are many scottish towns.

Its a parasite of society that is only getting worse.

that is sad that many of scottish towns are like that. those people need help. they are zombies. when they on that they know nothing, just react to a given situation. if a deer ran across the road and stopped, they would try to have a conversation with it or freak out. my neighbor thought he had children living under his trailer and he could hear them talking and rumaging around. he called the police. he said the children were talking and making noise while the police were there. the cops said no and asked him what he was on. he freaked out and they took him in. he too was talking like the guy in the video.

Yep, Ive lost every single one of my friends to drugs, some have died as well and I stopped speaking to them after a so called friend spiked my drink with drugs some years ago as they felt it would be "a laugh".

It ruins lives, friendships, marriages, finances, appearance and much more.

Its very sad and I can see why it would be funny but I just dont find it funny anymore. Not when people are like this more and more. Theres not much you can do about it either sadly. All the government will do about it is throw people in the jail and give them substitutes then allow them back out with no chance at life.

Vicious cycle once it starts.

Out of 30 people including myself that was my core group of childhood friends if you like, I am the only one who is not addicted to drugs. Thats a very disgusting reflection of todays so called modern society.

If you go out to a local bar where I am theres guys playing fricken tag running around the pool tables giggling from cocaine use. Its crazy as people see this as, just the way it is.

Ive met people who even take cocaine in their tea at work to give them a boost in the morning. I mean what the heck is going on these days??

Dont get me wrong, there are places in Scotland that are not as bad but it is something that has skyrocketed in the last few years. I am near Glasgow myself and the town I live in is not so bad but the town I came from is completely run down with drug addiction.
Its a shame as it used to be a really nice place to live.

I dont understand why people do it to themselves, I have been low in my life and I have never once thought about going for some hard drugs to get some escapism.

I am probably changing the thread topic too much here, my point was just to show that there are lots of things right now that the biblical passages could be speaking about. We wont ever know I think, because it will not be announced if that makes sense. If it is indeed actual Zombies then we might know that one
