I was watching this video showing quotes from the best minds in the cancer field, and they all say the same thing.

They don't know what causes cancer, and they don't know how to cure cancer.
Even Dr. Susan Love; Breast Surgeon, Past Clinical Director at Harvarfds Medical School, Director of U.C.L.A.'s Breast Center and Author of "Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book", is quoted saying,

"We really don't know what causes breast cancer. We don't really have a clue what causes breast cancer."

Watch the first 3:55 minutes of the video (link above)

So, the "Cancer Specialists", the cream of the crop, don't have a clue about cancer.

Enter Donna Roth, BA, BEd, MH
A little old lady who authored the "Practical Solution to the Cancer injury Manual".
She seems to know all about how we get cancer and how to cure it.
Cancer: The Answer is Outside the Box

How does this little old lady know what the western worlds greatest cancer doctors don't? Evidently, the answer is outside the box.

There is actually a cancer cure right now that is working so far in trials.

Its going through clinical trials but it will probably never hit the shelves and if it did it would cost a lot of money for consumers because of the costs involved to get it to that stage. There is also the fact that human beings react differently to treatments which can kill and if that happens its right back to the start again. It can take decades to get a drug right, especially when it comes to a cancer cure that is available to the public.

Have a read of some clinical trial information...

biotech.about.com...

I used to work within pre clinical testing among other things which are not mentioned in that article.

Not sure how much you know, just trying to help

The cream of the crop are lying.

what does she know, vulnerable people will pay a lot for a potential cure no matter how flimsy the premise?

"cancer always starts from an injury, an emotional injury or a physical injury"

i killed the video right there, cancer is pretty serious and very scary for the person who has it. anybody promising any kind of cure tends to make a lot of money selling their book or their diet or whatever the hell else pile of crap they're peddling.

these cynical snake oil salespeople sicken me, she's profiting from the emotional turmoil of a critically ill patient.

I studied Holistic Medicine for a bit, ... I thought the causes of cancer were pretty well known.

I can already tell you her 'remedy" ... organic fruits and vegetables, essential fatty acids, .. throw in some herbal tea's, ... maybe some mega doses of specific nutrients. .... Even enema's.

the funny thing is, .. this type of regimen will cure 90% of diseases known to man, in my opinion. As mentioned before, ... never trust someone who has something to gain.

There was another thread on here that said that cancer and diabetes (type 2) are not actually diseases, but symptoms.

You don't 'catch' cancer or diabetes, and that's why they are difficult to treat. Its your own body that is causing them, rather than some germ or virus that you can fight.

Like with anything, symptoms can be treated and reduced, but not really cured.

Like Type 2 Diabetes... a healthy lifestyle will usually pretty much cure that... I know, I was diagnosed with it, and I now have it well under control.
It then becomes obvious to me that the symptoms were caused by the 'disease' of me not looking after my body.
Start doing that, the problem is cured, and the symptoms go away.

Type 1 probably cannot be cured... its a fault of your body, not any outside influence, so it can only be controlled, rather than defeated.

I think cancer is much the same... you can get rid of the tumours with chemotherapy and/or surgery, but there's always a chance they'll come back.... because they're a symptom of an underlying problem that we can't currently pinpoint.
That's why people don't know exactly what causes 'cancer'.

Thanks for pointing this out. Ive been living with cancer for the last 8 years and the amount of "cures" and alternative lifestyles and diets you hear of is unbelievable. Whenever you tell people you have cancer, people always try and give you advice on something someone they heard of has done. It gets to the point where you just decide to stick with what your Doctors tell you. It's kept me going so far.

I know people who have travelled the world looking for "spiritual healers" to save them, only for them to return and pass away within weeks. just type in cancer in google and you get a load of adverts directing you to cures.

It does annoy me as people in my position are very suseptible to these claims as we're looking to survive here. I guess having lived with it so long I'm able to filter the BS, but those who are only recently diagnosed look for anything to help and are easy prey.

Ive had surgery, radio and chemo therapy on a brain tumor. The only way to get rid of ALL the tumour would involve removing half of my brain, which would be a bit more difficult to live with than just the tumor.

I'm sorry to hear that you have cancer. I've lost a few close friends to it, and I know what a struggle it can be.

You'll know better than anyone that there is no 'cure'...at least, not yet.... no matter what people claim.

But you say you've been living with it for 8 years... that's a pretty long time to be fighting it. So keep doing what you're doing, because you're still alive so far, right?

I think a positive attitude is more important than anything... my friends that I saw die, they gave up.
They were sick of fighting, and as soon as they gave up they died within weeks.

I think you can keep going through sheer willpower alone sometimes.

I wish you well in your ongoing fight, and I hope you can stay strong and enjoy your life, despite your illness.

My point exactly... there's treatment available, but not a cure... in some cases, like you said, the tumour is too large or in too dangerous a place for the treatments to be entirely effective.

Has the surgery and therapy helped at all?

I hope it has.

Anything that eases the pain and makes you feel stronger is well worth doing.

I know that chemo can often make you feel worse than the cancer itself though.

I'm not sure I could handle chemo personally, I think it would make me feel more like giving up the fight from what I've seen/heard.

to look at me you would never think anything was wrong, aprt from a huge scar on my head from 2 lots of brain surgery. I was only 23 when i was diagnosed so, I was fit enough to handle all the Radio and Chemo therapy. I am doing very well. I think the longest record for someone living with my type of tumor is 14 years. I hope I can beat that record. I was given 2-5 years when i was first diagnosed.

I tend to treat my cancer with a sort of ambivalence. Not worrying about it until, I feel a bit rough or get a little headache. But at the moment its about keep on keeping on and living a normal life as possible. I'm very lucky, Ive met people with my condition who have had a much rougher time than me.

My woman was diagnosed with cancer last year.
Two weeks later, she was under the knife.
After the mastectomy came the chemo and she did a research version, the highest doses of two different drugs, and each dose was higher, first bi-monthly, rgwn weekly pver six months.

Then 33 daily radiation treatments, and now, on to hormone blockers, and OP pills, vitamines, etc...

After her dauly handful of pills, she has no appetite. It's like a meal by itself.

I researched far and wide, the alternative methods I thought were interesting were CDA, acai berry, B-17, and the hemp oil.

The Gerson theropy was intriguing as Dr. Gerson was praised by many as a genius and the greatest in hustory etc..., The blood heating and reinfusing method used on AIDS infected down in Florida were impressive as well.

Cancer is merely a failure of our immune systems. We have over 500 cancer cells in our bodies everyday. Our immune system destroys them. When the number of cancer cells become more than what our body can destroy, that's when they can take hold. Our only defense against it is a strong immune system. The problem with this is that most of the population doesn't consume the proper foods and nutrients to keep our immune systems strong enough to fight the cancer. Mount Sinai hospital has cured several types of cancer with diet only. Cancer, diabetes, allergies, you name it and it can all be traced to a failure of the immune system. Radiation treatments and chemotherapy are pure poison. They don't just kill the cancer, they kill everything in our bodies that help us fight cancer. So before you judge so harshly, do your homework.

Im sorry to hear your news, all cancers are different and all who get cancer are different, so its hard to compare situations, but I have really good doctors whom I trust and I have in a way given myself up to their decisions. I basically just do what they say.

I havn't really changed my diet, in many ways its got worse as im indulging myself more nowadays. I guess I feel like if im only gonna be here a short time, might as well enjoy whats on offer rather than turning into a health obsessed veggie. Not to say i dont eat a healthy diet, just not obsessed by it, like some i know in my position.

sorry, i didn't say anything about the cause of cancer, diet, conventional treatments, new treatments being researched by medical professionals or any other things you've referenced there?

i'm all for new and better ways to fight cancer, my heart goes out to anyone who has to battle it, but i'm sickened by snakeoil salesmen.

that woman started off in a way that suggested to me that she was out to make a quick buck off a treatment that would cost a lot of money but have a neutral effect, at best.

for me, the worst of it is that the battle with cancer, as many here have pointed out so aptly, is 95% mental at times. all these cures seem to do is build up hope to dash it out again when they don't work. this type of stuff only ever makes things harder for people who already have it hard enough. it's f***ing unconscionable.

if it worked, it'ld probably be in a peer reviewed journal, then you'ld hear about the reasearch and the human trials and the work being done to get it safely to market.

Have you tried going strictly organic and using supplements?

I don't mean the $100 per pound "holistic superfoods" crap, but just a diet high in organic veggies, extra virgin olive oil, and no or little red meat/pork/milk/carbs?

I am curious to hear about your experience.

Use star wars fighters attacking tumour visulisation for 1/2 an hour a day, twice a day.when in bed.

it worked for this boy who was given 3 months to live he used this method every day...scans showed tumours had calcified... 21 years later he is still alive...

doctors called it spontaneous remission..translation we don't know why he is cured.

Haha, you're joking right? I just wanna make sure we're on the same page here.

"probably never hit the shelves and if it did it would cost a lot of money for consumers because of the costs involved to get it to that stage."

So, to your logic, they will spend a ton of money getting it tested, but won't release it cause it will cost too much? That's not honestly what you believe is it?

The reason we will not have a cure for cancer, or for AIDS (check my threads to read about how bogus AIDS is) is because the cancer treatment industry is a billion dollar industry. There are no other reasons.

The day there is a definitive cure for cancer, millions of jobs are lost, as well as billions in funding. These people running these cure cancer foundations will practically be firing themselves if they ever released a cure. So why would they? God bless the good ol US OF A.

I think the best way to cure cancer is to never get it.

Taking preventative measures-lifestyle changes and eating healthily-seem to be the best way to combat this. Cancer does seem to be more influenced by environment and nutrition than it does by genetic predisposition.

Vitamin D, as many of you know, can decrease the likelihood of developing cancer by 70%. That's vitamin D alone.

Otto Warburg's Hypothesis has been put to test in clinical trials recently and has been shown to significantly reduce tumor size in rats. Could it be to simply reduce sugar in the blood?

"Cancer, above all other diseases, has countless secondary causes. But, even for cancer, there is only one prime cause. Summarized in a few words, the prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation of sugar."
-- Dr. Otto H. Warburg in Lecture

So, although the exact biological cause of cancer is not agreed upon by medical researchers, they do know what lifestyles/nutrients to avoid/consume to significantly increase the chances of not developing the deadly disease.
