Due in large part to the new members who joined over the past few days we have jumped +26 places in the overall team rankings to #594. In a couple of
days we should pass "BlackVault.com'" and a couple of university teams. We tearing it up! Onward! Upward!
In a recent post in the official ATS BOINC thread, xn hinted at a release date for the successor for this version of SETI, so we have to punch out as
many work units as possible to make a big showing on the final tally of SETI@home contributions. If you used to be involved in the team project but
have dropped SETI for some reason, please let us know if we can help you get running again. Everyone Keep doing the great job that they are; we are in
good shape to break 160,000. Don't give up on recruiting new members or seeing if existing users want to join our team. I'm not opposed to
headhunting!
"VempirE_CNC" and "chuckster" have made it onto the ATS-SETI@home roster. Welcome, folks. Please let us know if we can help. Thanks again for your
time.
Check out your own progess at SETI@work Daily Statistices and see how
the team is faring here, overall teams comparison

The SETI server outages aren't helping our numbers much, but patience will pay off and we'll get rolling again.

Data Server Status
The data server is up and running, but dropping connections
Right now the data server machine is up, but not all clients are able to connect. This is due to our server being swamped with requests, and usually
happens right after a server outage, or if there are greater network/database problems we are currently trying to fix. Please try connecting
later.
I can't even get my cache re-filled and don't have time to babysit it today. Maybe it will shake loose.
A couple of new ATS members have expressed an interest in joined the team. I hope they do. We'd love to have you crunching on our side.

Okie dokies, well, I d/l'd it, installed it, logged in and joined up to the ATS Team.
Seems to be working fine, although had a bit of trouble (as pointed out above) connecting, but it got there eventually.

Hi all!!
Thanx to Spectre for "holding the fort" here - and a BIG welcome to new members!!
Yes, the ATS team is doing extremely well thanx to everybody's unstinting efforts, though the router problem at SETI@home still appears to be causing
connection problems (Spectre, I wa able to re-fill my two caches yesterday morning around 0830 BST!!). Still crunching...!!
Thanx again folks!!

I was gonna ask about this. My Setimon hasn't been able to connect since 10.30 yesterday morning and still can't. I guess I'll just have to send a
few days going through my cache. Server Status page is still giving the message quoted
above.

hi, I just recently got the seti software ( two days ago) and starting crunching away with my rig. I have 5 almost 6 "work units" complete. I
enjoy the idea of helpping seti, what is this seti group you are talking about. How do you join, why do you join-seriouly? If I "give" my work
units to u, what good does that do? Please u2u me and let me know.
Thank you for your answer.

Well done DJSB!!
Don't forget to download your 100WU certificate from the SETI@home site - it will be available from your profile on SETI@home. It *isn't*
time-stamped as when you achieved the milestone, but only for when you downloaded it (the coding issues would be very difficult otherwise).
Well done - and thanx again!!

Due to the continuing contributions of CPU cycles by the long time team members and that of the new people who have joined up, the ATS-SETI team has
jumped a couple of places to #588 on the all-time list. Those new members include (but are not limited to) folks like:
Ethan Atsinger, Kangaxx, dave, Ouroboros23, Jason, Sarcasimo, Unusual_Me, ANTONIO, westnile24, & Jack.
-If I left anyone out, my apologies. Please drop a post and say hello. If anyone needs a hand getting started completing and submitting work units,
feel free to post or send a u2u.
I'm all set up to switch over to BOINC when the original SETI@Home goes away, but they will have to pry me away from my treasured and familiar
command-line DOS window!

Despite the server problems over the weekend our "SETI@Home classic" team is still doing great work. We have jumped up to #573 on the overall list
of teams ranking. Besides "Daniel' no new members have signed up in the last few days, but everyone is still welcome. I know many people are
probably leaning more toward the new BOINC version.
Since we are still pulling forward on the classic, I'm going to stick with that one until they lock me out!

"Unknown error" problem seems to be over.
And I'm in with my 1 and ½ thousand and something WUs.
Damn I love current PCs, when I "signed" to it crunching one WU took 95-100 hours.
PS. oopps... now you can check from what my nick comes.

Hi E_T!!
Very many thanx for the outstanding contribution of WU's - the team now has 173 901WU's as at Tue Jul 20 09:59:24 2004 UTC!!
Yes, the server problems certainly caused lots of consternation in the SETI@home message boards: thank Heavens for SETIMonitor and it's cache
facility (I loaded up with around 100 in total just in case we had problems - which happen quite frequently!!).
Thanx again my friend - let's get to 200kWU's before the programme finishes!!

Thanks guys and welcome! We had a new signup that jumped into our Top 10: "mariocontestabile" with 4597 work units. That puts us up 11 places to
561th place overall.
200k units and the top 500 doesn't seem so far away!
E_T, I recall those days well. My first processor burned through about 2 work units a week.
