I think OP imagines a bygone era. Back when people were homesteading and living free, of course they had to work harder than we ever even could imagine. I don't know a lot of people in this society who could muster up the elbow grease to start a whole new world from scratch.

The big governments are here to stay, not just the US, but think about China, Korea, Russia. You think they are ever going to let those people create a new world for themselves?

Well what the OP is wishing for is basically what the NWO plans; total chaos, lots of people killed off to reduce the surface population, then set up a society under Socialism. That way OP, you won't be jealous of what anyone else has because only the top G-Men will have anything they want. The rest of us will be told where to live, given an allotment of how much food we are allowed to buy, whether we need a car and what kind of car will be decided by someone else.

You are thinking of a bygone era that will never be again. I can assure you that your situation now is better than it would be in or after a total collapse. Maybe you need to talk to someone.

I do agree with one of your last statements though and a few key points. Our condition is far better now than it would be after a total collapse. Many people who wish these things upon ourselves would be astounded of how difficult life would become. Ask yourselves this. Are you really ready to have to completely fend for yourselves? Because, without something there to help keep a sense of structure and balance, things can get quite dicey. The word CHAOS is something abstract, empty and meaningless until you've witnessed it in the flesh. So, be careful in what you attempt to manifest.

I agree with your statement. And no, most Americans don't have the fortitude to question authority, let alone survive during a collapse. We're spoiled, lazy, apathetic, and the most overweight country in the world. There's no way we could attempt to start something new. A healthy few would survive such a scenario, but, the majority would simply beg for salvation.

And yes...the big governments will be here for some time to come. It would take the largest collective movement ever to undermine any sense of centralized government. So far, I see nothing that would ever even make a dent in the rising power of the system.

So we have more freedom today than any point in history. Being a slave to survival is not what I see as fun. But hey there are still many parts of the world where one can go live in a survival like situation, or even a barter type environment. Some really great places in South America and Asia that would provide the kind of life some wish they had.

I think the point that everyone is missing is this. Everyone keeps waiting for a specific signal or sign of the NWO. I think everyone has this notion that it will take a grand EXPLOSION of some sort to usher in the EVIL GOVERNMENTAL CONSPIRACY.

You're already living it people. You're there, knee deep wading in it... you're just in denial. They've already installed the police state. They've already put in the "camps" (prisons are big business people. We have 3% of the worlds population and 30% of the world's prison population and the numbers are growing with new prisons being built each year.) It's already done. Mission accomplished.

Everyone seems to believe that in this fictitious police state, all of the cops will be wearing black uniforms and constantly in riot gear. Nope...just take a look at the rising numbers of police videos involving brutality, tasering, and corruption. Many of our police officers are pulled from the military and are dispersed throughout the nation. They all wear the same hairstyle and usually tout the same attitude. If you want to talk about evidence of a militarized police state...there you go.

The Global Market Economy is a brilliant example to support the existence of a One World Economy. And to think, you guys thought that they needed to be merged under one system, one currency, and a chip to effectively control the populace. IT'S ALREADY THERE. Maybe, there will even be a day where they try to tag us via computer chip...but, as it were, they pretty much already have that information on every American on the planet because of your identification, social security number, spending habits, and every demographic study which categorizes us and labels us just like cattle. You're already in it!!!

As you guys are trying to run around and expose the government for what they are doing, they have already implemented these policies as blatant realities for the rest of the world.

I think I may start a thread on that...word for word.

Good post. You are so right about the Police States. I grew up in the 60's, and police were so different back then and even up till about 10 years ago. They didn't have this bully persona, a few maybe, but the old saying "nice mr. policeman" was true. Now, instead of thinking of cops as the guy who will save us, you have to be afraid of them. They used to protect US from the bad guys, NOW we need protection from the cops!

I posted this song because it is how I feel lately I want to just watch the world burn, I want a fresh start I want more than anything else for this entire thing we call life to faultier and come crumbling down on top of us. Every time I watch the news and see the economy stabilizing I get sad I was really hopping this was going to be it, you know the big fall in to madness if you will.
I really want the elitist people to suffer in the worst way I want to see record homeless I want to watch the collapse of modern day society from my couch I want to TiVo it so I can play it back over and over again while I eat my chetos and sip my coke.

I did not used to be like this you know, I was a fun life loving man but lately im so sick of seeing how we and I mean the world.
We have been brought to the brink and than pulled back just to end up right back where we were once again so many times it makes me puke.
I think the world needs this total collapse and a rebirth.
You know a fresh start! From ground zero no religion no governments no anything

I feel this is what we need a return to a simpler time, you know a time where credit was given out on a promise to re pay not on a score given by some kid in a suite in a building far away.

What do you all think?

[edit on 29-7-2009 by SPC_D]

What do I think? I think you are an absolute f*cking moron. This is my first post and it will probably violate some kind of rule here and either be deleted or edited. However, I can't read this crap anymore without commenting. I have been browsing this site for awhile now, and most of the time I find it entertaining and intersting. But you my friend, have to be the dumbest poster on this forum. I will lay out some of the issues with your idiotic comments. This may take me awhile since I am new to this forum and haven't figured out how to multi-quote posts yet. I won't even get into all the absolutely horrifying spelling and grammatical errors. I only bring it up since you bragged about having two college degrees (I'm guessing you weren't an English major). So let's get started shall we?

So let me understand your line of thinking: The rich and powerful need to suffer and civilization as we know it needs to collapse, or as you put it, "faultier". Meanwhile, you are going to TiVo it all and watch it with your Cheetos and Coke, which by the way are brought to you by "the evil corporations". And where is this "brink" that we have apparently been brought to? My favorite part of this first post though is how you want to start at ground zero, with no government, and then you mention borrowing on credit in the same breath. Do you see the irony in this at all, or am I using words that are too big. Later I will address your LES, since I too am in the Army, and we will get to the real root cause of your bitterness which I believe is probably your sh*tty credit resulting from your own fiscal irresponsibility.

I think a few of you are missing the point here. I am not talking about just me and my situation. yes I live good right now HOWEVER others don't and this idea is bigger than just me and my family. the idea of real freedom not just perceived freedom it belongs to everyone. and a drastic change a shift is necessary to obtain that than so be it.

I know people suffer, but I would like for all this to be over not like we all die over just this every day gloom and doom crap.

I am so tiered of seeing it day in and day out I want that aspect to be over with just let the dam*ed thing burn so we can rebuild wont you? if the old system is so great than why are we clinging to it as it sinks? Just let it go.

As for the elite they do need to suffer as we do and I mean that world wide! Every country every man and woman that calls the shots they need to be reminded how they got there wealth and power. They need a wake up call. They need to know how to live like we live they need to stay in tents and mud huts and they need to live below the poverty line.

and this is in no way aimed at you cloakndagger

[edit on 29-7-2009 by SPC_D]

So you live in a tent, or a mud hut? Interesting, I didn't realize the housing was so bad at Ft. Leavenworth (yes I looked up the zipcode on your LES). So if the rich people are suddenly poor, then who takes over running the thousands of businesses here in the USA? Maybe we should just turn them over to the people. Divide everything up evenly. Power to the people, right? Hmmm, it seems I've heard of this somewhere before, and as I recall it hasn't really worked out for any nation that has tried it. Do you know what the word incentive means? I'm sure you do since you probably got a few when you enlisted. Well, in case you don't understand, I'll explain it for you. If someone works hard at their job, harder than everyone else, they often get some kind of incentive, be it a bonus or a promotion, etc. It's the same way in the Army, although you might not realize it since I noticed you have been in for 5 years and are still an E-4, even with those two "degrees" of yours.

yes, I want the freedom to live in fear of my neighbour having a bad day and a fight with his wife.
Or the freedom of being isolated into small areas because other people's "freedom" allows them to form up gangs or become brigands to "make a living."

OK, I'll respond to this post before I get back to your earlier ones. So we don't have real freedom? I don't recall seeing anything in the US Constitution or the Bill of Rights about the "right to have whatever the rich guys have". It says you have the right to "pursue happiness". And as far as the argument that many wealthy people don't deserve their position in society since they were simply born into it doesn't make any sense. I guess that wealthy people should just give all their money to charity or the government when they die.

You come across as just plain miserable with your life. I fail to see how not knowing where your next meal will come from or how long you will have a roof over your head (after a collapse) could improve your outlook on life. Your post comes off more like you just want everyone else to be as miserable as you are. You sound like a product of the me generation that grew up with no responsibility, expecting everything would be handed to you, and it didn't turn out that way.

well I suppose I have no ambition. not every one wants to be an NCO, not every one wants to lead and I sure as hell don't want the job.
so no I have not gone to a promotion board nor will I ever go and just so you know I have never received a non rec ever.
I am just biding my time till I get out I show up to work and that's it I do my job and go home I treat this like any normal job. and I have worked my self in to a position to where I don't have any NCO'S around me that I'm not in good with so I am left to my own devices.
That is just the way I like it.

And believe it or not nether am I.
I hold 2 degrees and I am working on a third its free in the army so why not take advantage I say.

Now

The only people who will suffer are the average Joes because the elite will be long gone by the time any of this happens, but we will be too busy killing each other in the streets to notice.

Oh and suffer we will! All must, I am going to paint you a picture if I may.
Think on this friend.
National strikes the whole country’s infrastructure grinds to a halt the average Joes have had it and now they in mass will show it! record homelessness coupled with being forced to pay the difference on a loan you defaulted on and believe me that is coming soon people being forced to decided to ether pay a bill or eat when all of this comes to a head and I believe it most likely wont ever. however if it does look out if we can organize a nation wide strike a mass walk out the chaos would drive all of them to listen to us it would give the American people leverage to have our demands heard!

However an undertaking of that size is beyond me for I am but one man with a dream.
A dream to be a propaganda minster

Wow, this one is the crown jewel of the thread so far. Again, more irony with the spelling error in the sentence preceding your reference to your 2 degrees. Do tell, in what subjects are these degrees? Good luck with the whole "revolt of the ol' working man" plan. What are these "demands" that the American people have. You act like the majority of us are dirt poor and ready for revolution. When the Detroit Lions can sell out season tickets in perhaps the hardest hit city in this economy, I can promise you we are nowhere near revolution. So what is your definition of wealthy by the way? I am interested in where the line is drawn.

So you are a self admitted lazy turd. Did it ever occur to you that maybe people like YOU are the problem, and not the people who work hard to get ahead in life. It's amazing to me that you are slamming the current administration for perpetuating the very lifestyle you so proudly champion.
