No dictatorship has been shoved down anybody's throat.

You lost an election, grow up and deal with it.

There are no mass gun seizures, nobody has been imprisoned for peaceful dissent, Microsoft has not been taken over by the .gov and renamed "People's Glorious Software Bureau"

What is it with all the drama queens on ATS lately?

You mean like yourself. Good greif man the problem in the US is not whos in power. The problem is the powerful not listening to US me and you the people. Passing laws without reading them because some lobbyist says its for the good of the people and a congressmans pocket book.

Get real dude. Tyranny is here. You seem to like it. Maybe you will change your mind when a cop rear ends you and then tries to frame you up for drunk driving. Maybe your kids mandated government service will make you proud as they snitch on classmates that have anti government thoughts.

Maybe you just abhor liberty.

Free minded people cherish it and see this nation for what it has become.

Where is the tyranny all of a sudden?

As far as "where I popped out of", I've been posting here pretty regularly for years, so what's your point?

I like how all of a sudden all the people who sat on their behinds as Bush shredded the Constitution and ran amok trying to start WW3 all of a sudden want a revolution because their talk-radio gods are commanding them to...

"Sheeple" indeed...

As a non-partisan who now gets thrown in with the GOP-faithful, I want to state my position:

When Bush was in office, I complained, a lot, about the growing budget deficit and the potential hazards that it could lead us to. I was labeled a liberal terrorist, and told that "deficits don't matter (because Cheney said so)." With Obama in office, I complain, a lot, about the growing deficit and the potential hazards of running a large deficit (especially during a credit crisis) and I'm labeled a right-wing-nut and told that "deficits don't matter (because Obama said so)."

This is just one example of my equal-opportunity haterism against the two major political parties. I will admit that A LOT of the people making the most noise are, in fact, bitter GOP-backers. I expect this thread to be overtaken by neo-conservative kool-aid drinkers, in fact. But some of us have been consistently making the same complaints for a long time.

Also, I urge the "deficits don't matter" crowd to go ask the people of the former Soviet Union, Argentina, Zimbabwe, and Iceland if deficits matter.

Maybe not tyranny today, but certainly .ed to socialist state. Do you think our Gov. is .ing in the right direction? By taking taxpayer money giving it to the Fed to capitalize insolvent banks? Which are in fact still insolvent. Cap and Trade?

It won't happen overnight but we're going down economically and .ed through legislation to quasi-tyranny.

Stick around, X, Obama hasn't even put in an entire year yet.

Hell, this year isn't over yet.

Lots of possibilities, lots of variables, lots of pissed-off people.

It only takes one little thing to get out of hand, and with his record the past months, he doesn't do anything "little."

It's been one big mistake after another.

You should hate the Two-Headed One Party System in place. We'll get the same outcome regardless of which Party is in office or majority congress. The two parties are Theatrics to keep groups divided.

Throw a Repub. in office in 2012 and the same agenda will be carried out.

I agree 100%. Since WWII, we've been gradually becoming Neo-Fascist, complete with what amounts to a one-party regime. The political shenanigans that CNN and Fox News distract us with ... they're simply theater.

Carroll Quigley blew the cover off the CFR, and everybody ignored it. He felt like he could write his books because he KNEW that people would ignore him, anyway.

Exactly, I can't handle watching MSM at all anymore. The lies are absolutely embarassing to watch. It's basically like 5th grade again, our population is a bunch of adult-kids, you have to be to buy anything that is stated on MSM. I almost smashed my flatscreen watching CNBC recently. The BS is unbelieveable.

Media absolutely tied into the theatrical Gov. in place. What to do?

I didn't like Bush either but Obama makes Bush look tame.Oh yes there will be a rebellion ,too many here want something for nothing, its sickening! I think the country will be split in two because there is no way these two groups will come together.By the way Ill be on the side with the guns

I think it's hilarious that you think this is about the election and not what will soon be 12 years of pass-the-baton fascism across party lines.

This isn't Obama's first term, it's Bush's 3rd.

It's funny because the left thinks they'll get what they want out of this guy, and the right is busy screaming about socialism, and no one is smart enough to read a history book, if they were, they'd realize that it's just more Fascism.

There will be no rebellion.

People will continue to sit on their fat asses and consume everything in their path. The vast majority are more than happy to be slaves to their "careers", their mortgages, and to the corporations.

If you want to rebel, stop consuming.

We're not going to have a real choice here soon. The way things are going, our consumerism will be dried up before we're ready to give it up. That's why people are beginning to wake up now. They're becoming increasingly uncomfortable. There will be a rebellion in this country. Of that I am sure.

You may not quite see what is going on in the US as you're in the UK, and there's only so much you can surmise by the news and internet. You have to live here to smell the revolt in the air.

There's more of us

And the military, at least HALF would join the people. I'd say those are some pretty big guns. That and people have NO IDEA what kinds of weapons the US population holds. It isn't just guns.

I bet you think it will be poetic and heroic then?

Millions of people voted Obama and these asses in. If 49% rises up to take away what 51% voted for, then who is bringing tyranny?

I have been in the UK for four years. Raised in Tampa, Florida.

You feel angry about the state of the world, the state of America, but I assure you the vast majority are not. We have been drugged by celebrities, fast food and a must have now culture that is prevasive through out the west, not just the US.
