Thanks to Zorgon for pointing out that his credibility is very low. It seems that he is one of those who firmly believe what they want to believe, even with very patchy evidence. And he goes on to intrude US government networks to find proof of his beliefs, just to get caught. Does he deserve to go to jail? Probably not, but that's the way things go according to the law, unfortunately.

Personally, I think it's ridiculous to believe that the US government has ET techonology at its use. To me it seems like saying that a stone age tribe living in a jungle could reverse engineer a stealth bomber that crashed into their territory. If some UFOs are ET craft, the technology would most likely be something that we couldn't begin to understand, let alone manufacture with a crashed one as a model. Another issue would be that the US and extraterrestrials are in a conspiracy together, but I doubt anyone has ever had real proof of that (oh I forgot, of course it's because they cover it up..). I for one wont believe any crazy story I hear, be it the official story of a government or a folk tale of the masses. The truth is outside them.

Sure he was... he was looking for secrets to tell the whole world. He is a foreign national hacking into US computers... that makes it espionage pure and simple. While it can be argued American tax payers may have a right to know, that doesn't apply to him

He had absolutely no nefarious purpose for doing what he did. If anything, they should hire the guy.

Hire him? To do WHAT? The guy has no skills. Besides he would fail the drug tests... he was so high he couldn't remember what he saw

And, if hes being truthful about what was found, then it should be the government on trial. For sending ten's of thousands of soldiers over seas to fight illegal wars so that more oil can be secured. While at the same time, they claim oil and it's CO2 is ruining our planet.

Man I wish you guys would actually listen to his first interview... he found nothing on aliens, or UFO's or alien ships, or free energy... all he found (supposedly) in his OWN WORDS is a glimpse of a secret space ship and a list of names of officers who serve in space NOT ALIENS

Now something like that would most definitely be a national security issue

Funny thing is I can tell you more about that from publicly available sources than he can
I even have the name of the first commander (now retired) who was also involved in the first secret astronaut corp with the MOL program exposed on PBS NOVA

They provide all the problems, then treat us like criminals when we expose them. This world is pathetic, if the forefathers were alive today they would probably commit suicide upon seeing what their country has become.

No the sheeple provide most of the problem... Why? Because they are so sure they know what is being hidden, that if anyone dares show them what is really going on and it doesn't fit what the BELIEVE is really going on you get called 'disinfo'

Sure the gov hides stuff... but there is also so much out there in public domain if you simply LOOK and ask

But it is easier to be an armchair critic and say they lie about everything

Remember one thing there are bad and good people in the gov. If the bad guys had as much control as people believe, they would NOT need to work in secret... and could just take out anyone they want...

Think about it

And just to prove my point on how easy it is... you can subscribe to Space Commands magazine... (as an American) for free

In one issue they show you one cadre of these 'non terrestrial officers' with 256 'space billets'

Beginning in the mid-1980s, concurrent with the development of space operations and space engineering curricula at the Naval Postgraduate School, the Navy began “coding” officers as space subspecialists. As space subspecialty codes were then assigned to particular officers’ billets on numbered Fleet staffs and at commands ashore, the service began assigning Navy members with matching codes to those positions. More recently, the Navy has begun efforts to build a cadre of “space smart” officers, enlisted personnel and civilian employees.

The Naval Space Cadre is composed of active-duty and reserve Navy and Marine Corps officers and enlisted personnel, along with Navy civilian employees from a wide range of career fields who meet mandatory education, training and experience standards established for a particular certification level. The Navy Space Cadre is a distinct body of expertise horizontally and vertically integrated within Navy and Marine Corps active duty, reserves and civilian employee communities organized to operationalize space

Initial identification of the cadre began in mid-2001 with the standup of the Naval Space Cadre Working Group and culminated in a naval message (NAVADMIN 201/03 DTG211435Z JUL 03) announcing the first 700 officer members of the cadre. These officers were identified by the subspecialty codes of 6206, Space Systems Operations, and 5500, Space Systems Engineering or by the additional qualification designator of VS1, VS2, VS3 or VS4. Identification of enlisted and civilian cadre members is more challenging, as these groups do not have specif?ic space identifiers like the officers do.

Approximately 265 billets are currently identified as space billets. These jobs are in Navy, joint and National Security Space organizations. Space cadre members are currently assigned throughout the National Security Space arena, including the National Reconnaissance Office, National Security Space Architect, National Security Space Integration, MILSATCOM Joint Program Office, as well as in all Navy organizations that deal with space.

Now with that little clipping I just gave you so much info and I didn't need to hack anything... it was in my mail box

Although not required for diagnosis, physical clumsiness and atypical use of language are frequently reported.[1][2]

And yet... you say they should hire him...

Fascinating. I find it weird that he would be put on trial publicly or that we're even hearing anything about it, if he had found UFO evidence wouldn't they just have killed him quietly? The queston is if he didn't hack the computers to get the UFO secrets then why hack the computers at all, why risk it and go through the effort unless you knew what you were looking for and that you would find it

It makes sense they would cover the clean energy UFO up since the governments of the world are starting to make money off of pollution under the guise of "saving the planet"...

How much you wanna bet, if any of what he says is true, that on his way over from the UK he ends up dead or disappears. Of course, then again, everything he says might be hogwash to garner support for him, he might just be a petty thief trying to steal and sell secrets...

its an interesting story of Gary Mckinnon. I personally think he has done a very clever thing in bringing up the "Free Energy" subject.

Imagine if he had just said he was searching for ET evidence. He would have been labelled a nutjob by MSM.

He has a good angle here.

Hope he ends up being free.

I understand Aspergics since I'm one myself. People who are diagnosed with that can be trusted more than anybody else. We actually believe in something called truth. I can't stress that enough when it comes to people like us.

Hmm, moral crusade over UFOs...I can tell you that is exactly what he felt he was doing.

Gary McKinnon : INNOCENT

US government: GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY

ok, so he broke the law. It's not like he killed someone. What is law? Well, law sure isn't justice, I can tell ya that.

Mckinnon is hero in my book. This is a case of government suppression of information regarding issues that shouldn't be hidden from us anyway. The governments of the U.S and U.K and their elite backers would have us know nothing of any consequence to our and our children's well being such as sustainable energy or the possibility of other intelligence in the universe.

McKinnon DOES NOT deserve jail -- not even a minute-- he should be thanked. The ones who deserve jail are NASA heirarchy, DOE and all the other agencies who have kept us literally in the dark.

Jail government and non-government people who lie to us and keep us from true progress and freedom.

Free people like McKinnon.

Autowrench:
I most certainly agree that Gary should be applauded, not jailed, and he certainly didn't cause any "damage" other than to a few egos. Free energy is real, and the reality is the governments of the world, not just our own, are hiding it from us, and suppressing anyone who tries to bring it out. Several people have invented things and been murdered for their efforts. I also agree that NASA official should go to jail, for lying to us, and for breaking the Constitution on may occasions. There are people in the government, hidden people, men for the most part, who do not even deserve life.....

I work at Macdill AFB and the two wispers I have heard are matter anti-matter engines and electromagnetic propulsion ie. the quiet stuff.. Supposedly and I find this hard to believe but they do most if not all of their testing over the Gulf. It's always the same BS story though.. it's I heard from a guy who's friend's dad used to work at a place where he spoke to someone who said we have alien techology in your possession and have back engineered it. bla bla bla. I would imagine with all the ships out in the gulf it would be pretty hard to hide any sort of testing.. The earth in general is getting pretty crowded.

"There was good evidence to show that certain secretive parts of the American government intelligence agencies did have access to crashed extra terrestrial technology which could... save us as a form of free, clean, pollution-free energy.

BBC - Hacker's 'moral crusade' over UFO

A Briton fighting extradition to the US for hacking into top-secret computers claims he was morally justified in breaking the law.

Gary McKinnon, 43, from Wood Green, north London, admits hacking into 97 US government computers, including Nasa's and Pentagon's, during 2001 and 2002.

He told the BBC he was on a "moral crusade" to prove US intelligence had found an alien craft run on clean fuel.

I doubt he was going after proof of ETs under the actual pretext of exposing clean energy. But what do you think?

Put aside the issues of his guilt, Asperger's Syndrome and extradition. Is it possible that the US has this technology and is keeping it hidden? Would there be more to gain from producing, patenting, licencing and selling than there would be from sitting on it?

Either way this guy is buggered me thinks!

I agree 99% with you King,

I don't agree that if our forefathers were alive today, they would commit suicide...they would take up the fight and kick 'their' arses all over the place!

'They' wouldn't stand a chance against the generations from the 40's and 50's.

In fact, they very nearly lost everything during the 60's and 70's, because of the peace movement. The 'turn on, tune in and drop out' attitude, really threw a spanner in the slave drivers plans. They crapped themselves, as they saw their control slipping away.

They have tightened the grip ever since, and it's now becoming a stranglehold.

We need the old hippies, the ex-flower children, to be hippies and flower children again. To teach the brainwashed and the hopeless, the people in dead end lives how to live free. How to be different.

Now is the time to once again Turn on, tune in and drop out.

They only have control, because we allow them to control us.

Does no-one else find it just a little bit suspicious that the American intelligence agencies (so-called intelligence agencies) made it so easy for their top-secret files to be accessed?!?

Maybe they wanted them to be accessed? Sounds a bit like a basic counter-intelligence move to me. Anyone tempted to screw with the American military would quickly have second thoughts if they mistakenly believd that the US had control of super-advanced technology and weapons systems.

Yes, a mysterious plane crash or similar was my first thought...

Perhaps they didn't anticipate this much attention when they first tried to get him, now everyone around the world know about him - it would be harder to make him 'disappear'.

I can't see them really looking forwards to a show trial, so they will either insist on a closed hearing and cite 'security reasons', or he along with a lot of others with no connection to him (such as in an aircraft or train etc) will have a serious 'accident'.

I really don't see how they will get around him telling, in detail of what he found out any other way.

If nothing else, they would be embarrassed at just how terrible their so called security was/is, that allowed just anyone from the net access. Never mind the juicy secrets he revealed.

I'm thinking either a closed hearing/no transcripts, or a plausible accident.

Hope not, for all our sakes.

Best of luck Gary.

Give me the name of one hacker that has ever tried? Govt computers are pretty advanced stuff. Lots of security to bypass.

A really talented hacker can get the info he is after.

A hacker inside the US govt computer network could find things!

People need to remember that if he had access to govt files that he could read them!

People trying to pretend that uber hackers do not exist?

Einstein had a short term memory of like 1 min 30 seconds. Don't forget it!

One of the problems is they tend to keep it to themselves. I have an ex military friend who works in security. He said, when this story broke, that several Brit security firms use to employ hackers to do background checks on people that were ion file in the USA but of interest to them security wise, because the Brits hadn't dumped all their files on a server at that time..

There has just been a documentary on Brit TV featuring a friend of mines son. By the age of 15, from a PC in his bedroom, he had syphoned off 3/4 million £s from various financial institutions, before he was caught.

You can usually tell how much truth one is telling by the amount of government involvment and how hard they are going after somebody....

They are trying pretty hard to ruin this man's life because he exposed their big secret...

they deflect talk of what he found by making him look like a " bad guy"..........The media still uses the term "bad guy" ......just saw it on news 3 days ago they kept calling everyone who "did" something a " bad guy".......

I remember when this happened.
I dont think he was going after clean energy, but he was 100% looking for UFOs.
I think he almost got caught once as well and ended up chatting with a person on the other end of the computer and said he was running routine maintenance lol.
Pretty funny.

If you ask me, he shouldnt get in that much trouble.
He was using programs you can buy at the store, NASA or whoever should have better security.
Clearly he found something that upset them. arent they trying to put him in jail for a ridiculous amount of time?

Because its cheaper than upgrading their existing security?

Mckinnon is clearly an idiot who just got caught messing about where he shouldnt have been. The BS story he has made up to try and validate his actions is the sort of thing a child would come up with. He was using a 56k modem .. this is not the sort of kit you would use to go covertly stealing top secret military info.

Gary is a stalwart for Human curiosity; i can't believe people here view him as a criminal when it's the agencies who are shrouding the secrecy and suppressing technology that should be free for humanity.

video.google.com...

@Zorgon: go to 11m40s to hear his hack explanation and why he couldn't screen capture et al.
