M-Cone reduced is very close to the original photo for me. It looks almost identical, but it appears as if it was taken in a brighter light.

It makes things look more yellow and orange toned.

If I use M-cone reduced on other pictures it just seems to wash them out.. like sunbleaching.

I've always wondered exactly what it would look like to be color bind. Actually to my eyes some of the reduced colors are rather attractive like in the picture of the sunset. In the fourth fruit picture, I noticed the most dramatic change, though the colors were the same, just faded, not as vibrant. That was the picture I thought that had the most pure reds and greens. The others it seemed to draw the secondary colors out more. Like the starfish which appears to me in 'normal' vision as organish-red, but definitely orange in m-cone reduced.
