Ambassador To Tajikistan Says U.S. Not Playing 'Great Game'

DUSHANBE -- U.S. Ambassador to Tajikistan Tracey Ann Jacobson denied that Washington is involved in a new "Great Game" in Central Asia with Russia or China, RFE/RL's Tajik Service reports.

Jacobson, who finishes her three years as ambassador in Dushanbe this month, told RFE/RL that she has read in the media about this "Great Game idea," but said "we are not playing any kind of game."

I think a congratulations is in order for all our New Great Game supporters maybe we caught somebody's attention!

I thought this would gotten more attention than it has.

I am not very fimiliar with this great game...but I would say it sort of sounds exploitive and uneccessary. I do not really know what to think about this world anymore, maybe I think nothing, I guess it is just a big big world, so large that hope has dwindled in some areas. Priviledge is what keeps me alive, knowing that you can enjoy aspects of life- that really acclerates me. "Let our passions bleed" (The band Thrice).
