Hi, just hoping someone can help me upload video content from my comp. Files are too big and I dont know how to edit down to smaller files for uploading.

I run XP
Have a photobucket account
Use Yahoo Mail

The video interviews are from my Sony HD digital camera

I have video interviews on my comp in a PMB file

Contact me here or via the u2u system please if you can help.

This has been the worst case scenario, I have spent fortunes with my comp guy but with as slow as my comp works, he will have me going on it and leave and then no sooner than he walks out the door some problem arrises and I am back at square one.

The files are too big to upload anywhwere. I have tried everything, it has to be a simple solution.

I will try to help, but i'm not an expert so you'll have to help me help you.

First, what is the specific model of Sony HD cam?
What is the specific software that you installed on your pc to get that type of file.

Here is what little I've found out about the PMB format.
How to convert hd footage from Sony HD Cam into avi format for editing on my pc!

there is an option in the program to right click and convert to MPEG & WMV. The program it was shipped with is PMB

Sony Webbie HD MHS-CM1 Camcorder Review

The big software inclusion on the MHS-CM1 is Picture Motion Browser (PMB), which is commonly included with Sony's consumer camcorders. The software assists with transferring footage from the camcorder to your computer and can organize files using a variety of attributes (i.e. in albums, by date, etc.). New on the MHS-CM1, however, is PMB Portable, which is a program designed to upload your videos straight to video sharing sites like YouTube.

I dont understand, but it is loaded to my comp in the pmb file already. I have it on the sony pmb account from the CD that came with it. , I just cant get it to burn to CD or to transfer to another site because it is too large a file. When I try to chop a video into smaller edits, I can do it, it wont work.

Again I did open a UTUBE account and yet the files were too large. The video I have is in 3 new files, that was done in order to make 3 CDs to send to a friend to edit them for me.

Oh well I just give up. This thread can go slip on a banana peel, so much for a forum I have been supporting for almost 3 years, that I come to on almost a daily basis for the again to SUPPORT, but when I have a problem, a simple one to many many of you, no support to antar.

Ok I guess I quit.
