Threats against Iran feed off modern myths

Several myths regarding Iran stand in the way of the United States and other nations reaching a peaceful relationship with that country. Much of the concern that Iran may attack Israel, if Iran successfully develops nuclear weapons, rests on the statement by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that "Israel must be wiped off the map."

Iran has never said that Israel should be wiped off the face of earth. The words that Ahmadenijad uttered were different, but the myth goes on that he said that. I also believed in it till I read this article

Iran has the right to develop nuclear power and it is the same with many other countries.

There is a need to be more well read about Iran than just saying that they are aggressors etc.
