2. Realizing that Sarah and her opinions are linked to that radical conservative right that does not appeal to the common man and ridding itself of her, also.

I disagree.... We had the most moderate Republican candidate in quite awhile and it didn't do us squat. We need Republicans that stay true to the Republican Ideals, not trying to be Democratic Lite.

The One and Only reason Sarah Palin has lost approval among the public is because the left wing, socialist loving, Obama wanna be MSM has launched a massive smear campaign against her and her family. If it were not for that, she would be well supported by most americans. God fobid the MSM says anything negative about Obama and his socialist agenda that lacks the change America actually needs. The only network that has the balls to do this is Fox News and I know how most people on ATS feal about that network. So continue the rant about how much everyone hates Palin and how terrible she would be in public office, blah, blah, blah.......

Please can we entertain a serious debate about the chances of her

My word, think of the money she/WE could raise for her presidential bid!
That would catapault her in for 2012 fer sure, right?

IMO Rush I mean the Republican party will use Palin as tool against the dems without her ever running for president . On the national stage Palin will always be exposed as being way out of her depth . Working up a crowd full of extreme right wingers like a pro wrestler will only get someone so far . About the kindest thing I can say is that even partisan democrats could sleep at night if Romney was president . The same cannot be said for Palin .

We did have a moderate candidate who foolishly selected Sarah as a running mate and completely alienated a large bloc of voters who wanted a coherent VP and saw through the obvious gender card. Even with an actual VP candidate, any Republican would likely have lost because of the abysmal record of the Bush-Cheney Administration.

Given those "Republican Ideals" what do you think they are and what president stayed true to them?

Gov. Palin apparently has made a serious political mistake.Or is it that the Left and their attacks on her have finally made their mark.

- She made a very big political mistake.

- The leftist attacks didn't hit their mark. They were empty.
(until now when they say she's a quitter ... because she is)

She's all done - in any kind of serious national political way.
She may get elected as head of her local NRA or something ... but that's it.
She blew it. Bu-bye.

FUNNY! Popularity and political future don't always go hand in hand.

article here

Palin has a 42% approval rating.

Pelosi has a 32% approval rating.

And yet Pelosi is still just two heart beats from the Oval Office. (*shudder)

The one thing that Liberals do that always makes me giggle is when they give conservatives advice about what the GOP should do because i'm sure you have our best interests at heart, right?

The reason you guys want the GOP to become moderate is because they will never, ever gain power again if they do.

I say we get real conservatives back in power and have the Democratic party move to more of a McCain ideology, how about that?

She's the sharpest tool in the drawer if its full of republicans!

Remember she didn't know africa was a continent!!! WTF
Are you kidding me? This is the best they can do?
We really are screwed as a nation, aren't we?
Our blatant stupidity will inevitably do us in with our narrow view of world affairs, among other things.
Like an economy that isnt a ponzi scheme run by banks for one.
And there's people who really think shes a viable candidate? OMG....

Shes a quitter, not a leader. Shes is GOP eye candy,...a bimbo.
Someone specifically put there to garner the women and racin' vote.
I hate to be the one to break this news flash.
Like the bank bailouts, its a tough lesson to learn we got screwed.
She quit to make big money, plain and simple!
I cant believe this country anymore.
Next, we'll be burning witches instead of books as she wants to.....
Actually shes a tad paranoid of it herself, heres proof.......
We're still stuck in old school. Just with more makeup on this time.

Actually, your post proves an interesting point - that people are so quick to believe what the drive-by media says, and that the drive-by media will take anything at face value without verifying the information first when it wants to skewer someone.

The Sarah Palin/Africa story was proven to be a hoax. But I guess you were too busy watching Saturday Night Live when the retractions were printed.

Sarah Palin Africa Story a Hoax

False: List Catalogs Books Banned from Wasilla Public Library by Mayor Sarah Palin

Please don't be so ignorant when you post.

Oops did I hurt some little feelings?
Its all just a game bub, it's pure entertainment.
Yes, like saturday night live funny.
I would post some funny palin spoof videos,
but the real thing is just as funny and just as much of a joke!

Let her choke herself on her own foot, she needs no help with that!
When putin rears his head and.....????

Nope, doesnt get funnier than that!
And we elect these people? OMG

Thanks for noticing my ignorance, friend.
Always reply and call names as usual, my duped amerikan amigo.
I could say the same about you for believing(and voting for)these dimwitted types!

Do you think it makes a difference rep or dem?
Or do you need more bipartisen bailout, wake ups calls to let you know your voice no longer matters? Do your kids deserve to have a country?
Call other citizens names while your hero politicians rip the entire country off! Smart, very smart. No wonder we're screwed.

Thanks for playing the game, and enabling it to be played.
Relax, I'm sure when palin gets to be our president in 2012,
our problems will all be solved immediately.

Sorry I though it was true, after all it was on fox! Eh?
She's lost, case in point:
Heres the real story about her library shenanigans:
In a free country books can be banned?

I think Sharon pretty well sums up how most of Americans feel about Palin.

I understand Palin appeal to the limited extreme right wingers who hated McCain because he doesnt belong in a padded cell . The Republican Party core support base that has a discord with the rest of America lapped up Palin one dimensional prof life candidacy . Everybody else saw that she was to right wing and insular to be of any value as a Vice Presidential candidate . Considering how the race for the Republican nomination will begin after the 2010 Congressional election are over , if Pailn is going to make a run at things she will need to start remaking her image now .
