Lobbyists the silver lining in health care storm?

www.msnbc.msn.com

The drug industry, the American Medical Association, hospital groups and the insurance lobby are all saying Congress must make major changes this year. Television ads paid for by drug companies and insurers continued to emphasize the benefits of a health care overhaul — not the groups' objections to some of the proposals.

"Everybody has issues with bits and pieces of it, but all these groups want to get something done this year."

Health Care bill is most definately taking the propoganda warfare route!

One of the liberals' main objectives is to include a strong government-sponsored insurance plan in the legislation,

Exactly
More govt.

The industry groups have invested heavily to make sure their views get taken into account.

Yes, industry groups
but not the people's voice!

Hopping or weakening the government plan is a top priority for the insurance industry. Other health care interest groups are also leery because the public plan could put a dent in their budgets.

haha
Who are you kidding here?

Top insurance companies will be making so much profit
They are all ready to pop the champagne right now

but MSNBC is painting a different picture here.
Not what reality is.

Big Surprise!

I don't trust the lobbyists for the drug or insurance companies.

These are the folks who have become fat on the ever-rising cost of health care in this country.

They must see a way to make a killing, with the cooperation of some of their conservative comrades. They have made out like bandits on the recent Medicare Part D reform (a Bush administration coup). They're looking to do that again.

I's the fox guarding the chicken house.

Letting drug companies influence health care legislation is insanity.

Our 'legislators' are out for themselves and more power. The lobbyists are paying them to betray the citizens. It's not health care reform it's entrenchment.

as 1 statement says in the article

As lawmakers squabble, the groups are focused on how to come out ahead in the end game.

they don't care about the people as long as they profit, and they are making sure that will happen. You have to read very carefully to catch these little truths; they are thrown in in such a way that most won't catch it, but they can say we were told.
