Definately looks identical, hadn't seen contrails "flame" up like that before so didn't want to make a guess at it being them!

That's because it didn't crash. It's a plane that went over the horizon, because the Earth is roundish in shape.

95%+ sure about that

flying saucers do not have contrails, from my experience they do not have any exhaust at all
