NORTH Korean women face hard labour if they are caught wearing trousers rather than skirts, under the communist regime's latest crackdown on public morals, South Korean activists say.

Offenders can be punished with hours of forced labour or fines of 700 won, almost a week's salary for the average worker, human rights group Good Friends said, citing its own sources within the isolated nation.

Yeah, I know, I know... another North Korea story.

This time it is the North Korean fashion police out in force.

How do they manage to police this? Are the people there so feeble that they'll just go along with they're told to do? Honestly, those 'disciplinary officials' have to be weak-willed. There is nothing heroic in what they do, when they have to uphold BS laws like this.

Still, the people put up with it, no matter what...

Is NK deliberately trying to be the stand-up comedy act of planet Earth?
