"Spotted on 07/16/2009. Pahranagat Valley, Lincoln County, Nevada on Highway 93 (the Extraterrestrial Highway)."

What a unique shape! I don't have a back-story to type or anything, but this is ridiculous!!

what do you all think of these?

Could be anything, but if it were something sensitive like a UFO I think it would have a military escort.

It is most likely a piece of manufacturing equipment. It is not unusual to see these types of things transported on the highway.

It looks to have something which resembles exhausts to an engine of some sort at the top.

could be one of those water hover crafts.

I just love the idea that they are transporting UFO's -
Covering them up so discretely - not.

The funny thing -
I can totally see our government doing something like this -
thinking - to themselves - the sheep won't see.

The first thought which I had when viewing the images are the large tires used on mining equipment, but covered up with a special tarp to protect it from the excess heat to prevent dry rotting.

Just my 2 cents.

haha, yeah it would seem that they wouldn't transport an 'flying saucer' in broad daylight. although, it is covered up, and on the well known "extraterrestrial highway" in nevada. the two 'bags' on the top of the object pique my curiousity as well. thanks for your input.

It's interesting how the cover looks custom fitted for the cargo.

After zooming in on the last photo, I am going with a piece of mining or other heavy equipment.

There does appear to be a police cruiser in the convoy though. And the area it is being hauled in doesn't help with Area 51 close by.

Looks like maybe a big mining fan. Those things can be huge. Seen a few. Looks like one to me.

I'm goin' with A_L on this one. Definitely looks like a tire assembly for a big Yuk or something.

Any gravel pits nearby?

Someone please tell me why this is not some regular piece of equipment like a radar panel?

I was thinking maybe its a really big tyre you know for mining trucks etc. Then i thought, the edges of the tyres probably wouldn't have that sort of angle. Then i thought "why would there need to be a police car there with sirens" ... hrmm UFO?

It's not a wheel for a giant rock wagon. I worked in the oil patch for 4 years and have seen many tires and other oversized loads hauled down the highway and not once have I seen any wheels covered with a tarp.

Speaking of the tarp, I doubt very much that they have custom fit tarps for crashed UFO's.

It's more than likely just an unusually large piece of industrial equipment.

As a (laid off) trucker, I can tell you that it is something that required special protection. The tarp is not a standard tarp and is a custom job. This is either a military item (yes they move some things without escort) or something commiercial. It is not tires those are hauled open deck.

For special military moves they use non-discript trailers and either special shippers or there own trucks. Depending what the load is if there will be escorts and what type. In the Dakotas I have seen fully armored Humvees and white tractor-trailers. In Califronia have seen regular tractors that just say in small letters Air Force on them.

Its cool lookin, and if that's really where the picture was taken it adds to the speculation. Nice find.

Personally, I would think this to be the best way to transport a flying saucer; everyone will see it, but who will believe it? With little to no obvious protection, it doesn't give the impression of being something important.

However, my first impression was also that it looks like a big fan. I liked the suggestion of a septic tank, then again, maybe it's a skeptic tank???

I don't suppose anyone here has ever heard of the hovercraft?

Just a thought.

Even though it sure looks like a similar size and shape to one of these tires shown below from a friend's picture, I don't understand why they would have a custom tarp like that. I could understand covering the tire for transport, but not a custom tarp for whatever is on the top.
Besides they would never stack anything on one of those tires (or haul something inside it), they would haul "it" (whatever is on top) separately. Also, the tire is shipped with no rim inside, just the tire alone, so whatever is on top makes me certain that it is not one of these tires.

For me it looks like something I have seen before; a giant "compressor jet turbine fan" type thing that a company by me will repair or work on sometimes. Sorry, I don't really know what they are, just what they look like, but anyway these things are huge and look like the thing that truck in the op was hauling. Except they are never covered, so I still don't get why they have the custom tarp...
