The result of the assessment is that:

* There is important health advice for this patient (given below)

* An antiviral treatment course is authorised

* The treatment course should be collected from the Antiviral Collection Point (see instructions below)

It is recommended that the patient takes an antiviral treatment course.

This service will issue the patient with one antiviral treatment course, which is effective for the treatment of flu. This is the only course of antiviral treatment which will be authorised for that patient.

The following authorisation number must be brought to the Antiviral Collection Point in order to collect the antiviral medicine.

Please write down this number.

The authorisation number for this patient is:

T75-041VA892-3

ANTIVIRAL COLLECTION POINT INFORMATION

The patient should stay at home and have their antiviral collected by a friend or family member to minimise the spread of flu.

If the patient does not have someone to collect the antiviral on their behalf, please see the advice below:

England - Please contact a local Primary Care Trust (PCT)

Scotland - Please follow local Health Board guidance. Click here to find out how to contact your local Health Board.

Wales - Please telephone the patient’s GP if you think they have swine flu and may need antiviral treatment

Northern Ireland - Please contact your Health and Social Care Board

The person collecting the antiviral must bring proof of both their own and the patient’s identity with them to the Antiviral Collection Point. This should be one of the following:

* Birth/Marriage Certificate
* Building Society/National Saving Book
* Cheque Book
* Cheque Guarantee/Credit/Debit Card
* Child Benefit Letter
* Council Tax Payment Book

* NHS Card
* Paid Utility Bill (not older than 6 months)

Please click here to see a list of Antiviral Collection Points to pick up the antiviral.

Wow, it takes a few minutes, to be confirmed as a swine flu case in the UK.

No Docter/Lab confirmation required!

This really is outrageous, if the Swine flu was as deadly as the MSM is making out, a doctors visit would surely be required, or at least lab confirmation.

I can't put this in the OP because I ran out of room.

I also find it odd that the yes/no questions turn to no/yes questions once the questions move off of serious medical ones.

eg

Are you seriously ill? - yes/no

Have you had Tamiflu before? - no/yes

Just odd that's all.

Did you say Tamiflu? (Oseltamivir)

I will not take Antivirals, wanna know why I would rather fight the virus naturally?

WARNING : Antivirals may kill you!
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Check out my research thread on the effects of Tamiflu and Relenza (Tamiflu being by far the most dangerous.)

You have been warned, it could be the last drug you ever take.

As you can see already Kiwi, there is tons of totally unscientific and dangerous activity going on here.

Incredible dangers are being covered up with outright lies, and as you pointed out, the ability to be diagnosed without even visiting a physician to conduct scientific tests is just plain dangerous as well.

People who should not be taking any drugs at all, will be having toxins like Oseltamivir pushed on them quicker than you can say "pass the buck".

And when you get hurt, you can be sure the buck will be passed.

Too true mate. It's amazing how people are panicking and rushing to be poisoned!

I assume it's Tamilfu that the code is for:

T75-041VA892-3

As it begins with a T, and the questionaire only asked if I had Tamiflu or Relenza.

Either way, I can get these drugs with no scientific confirmation, and if the flu comes back and I haven't got it now, the drugs won't be as effective (if it was life or death).

Also, the UK is handing these drugs out too easily, it's as if they want the virus to mutate and become immune to the drugs.

lol yep, your right

as of now, from what i've read, the H1N1 is not resistant to Tamiflu yet, but there have been many cases of Other influenza that have become resistant over the past several years.

So there are strains known to have resistance already, and that is why Relenza is being stockpiled as a backup just in case.

I am willing to wager that H1N1 will gain some from of resistance to Tamiflu within 12-16months. And I am trying to be conservative with my estimates here.

It is not looking good. Sigh...what a hectic and frightening world.

Yeah, I think I had it at the beginning of the month.

I was off of work for a week, felt lousy, sore throat, runny nose, headache, cough and acheing limbs.

But it was the flu! Come on!

Sure some people are getting sick. But only a handful of people have died OF the flu, instead of WITH the flu.

I'd take the flu again over a dose of the drugs and the vaccine, any day!

Consider yourself extremely fortunate, because many people with underlying/pre-existing conditions can only be saved through Antivirals if they miss out on the Vaccine. I myself have experienced such a case with a family member before, and any risk you might mention in regards to an Antiviral dose was far outweighed by the risk which the Virus itself (Influenza) posed to them.

In a matter of life or death, and with underlying health issues, I'd take them, but without those conditions I would really stear clear. I know your family member probably didn't have that choice, but I hope he/she came through it. And as long as they did, whatever the anti-virals did is more than worth it.

So many people are going to apply for their Tamiflu, just incase it runs out.

What about the people that will get theirs and take it now, even though they don't have symptoms, because they think it might prevent them getting it. Totally ridiculous idea but I've already heard of people discussing it which is really concerning because they'll only be allowed one lot and what happens if they do really need it, a few weeks or months from now?

Then there's yet another group of people that will plan to exploit the system and get as many as they can to sell on.

The whole idea of just dishing this out over the phone, or on the internet, is absurd - people will look up the symptoms to make sure they answer the questions correctly. It's also going to mess with the numbers of how many suspected cases there are. Numbers are about to skyrocket on suspected cases just based on how many tamiflu prescriptions are given out!

At the moment, I'm more concerned about how many people will be ill from this flu, and not able to work, rather than how many are dying. Britain has been saying possibly 1 in 3 off work and that could be a bigger disaster than the actual direct death rate from this flu.

No Tamiflu or vaccines for us, at the moment, but I've got 3 children and if 1 of them really needed the anti-viral then I'd take my chances. I don't agree with people saying 'no never' because until you're in the situation, how do you know? Would you really watch your child suffering and possibly dying and not take the opportunity to help/save them? As a baby my youngest son had pneumonia and I didn't think twice about the medication he was given because he desperately needed it or would have died anyway. In that position I chose to take my chances with the medication and I'd do the same with this flu if push comes to shove. I sincerely hope we don't need anything, for this flu, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate if the situation ever does require it.

this whole thing is really starting to p@ss me off. The panic caused by the media has led to every hypocondriac and worried parent to get on the phone and order up the tamiflu. The meds are being dished out by a bunch telephone operators with no medical experience whatsoever.

i'm considered in the high risk group and feel that I have to fight for these drugs against perfectly healthy people, who if got the flu would be fine after a few days. I may not be so lucky with a weakened immune system caused by years of chemotherapy. Ive survived cancer for 7 years, I dont want to be a swine flu statistic

We were all talking about this yesterday and there have been so many mixed messages!

If it is serious then it should be treated as so - and if not, then what a great opportunity to use this as a "practice run" to check that all our systems and procedures will work in a real situation.

The spread could have been slowed and contained if action had been taken weeks/months ago.

Swine flu cases were in all the schools throughout the UK and this close to the end of the school year, they could all have been closed a few weeks early. As many parents will know, school is a really effective place for illnesses to spread quickly.

Travel should have been restricted and some kind of quarantine put in place.

I can't comment from the workplace point of view, but I guess people will either use it an excuse not to go in (when they are not ill), or go in (when they are ill) and spread it further.

Medically trained people only should be the ones to diagnose/treat/prescribe treatment for swine flu. I believe it can only be confirmed by a blood test and not some questionnaire and now we do not have any idea as to who has it and who doesnt and how it is spreading.

This website only encourages stockpiling, misdiagnosis, and abuse of the system which will mean that the people that will really benefit will be losing out.

I think that swine flu may be a real threat for a healthy person (and I apreciate that there are people who are already at risk). This will emerge in the winter with our annual flu season. This will either be due over/misuse of tamiflu which will render the treatment inaffective or because so many people will be less immune/already have general flu.

That or there will be a problem with the vaccine.

Wood - I hope that you will be OK. I really feel for the people who are suffering and are at risk. The media has not helped the situation at all and has probably made it worse.

Very true, the newspapers today are saying that flu cases in the UK have doubled to 100,000 in the past week. I'd like to bet the vast majority of them don't have swine flu!

Some of you posters here are speaking as if Tamiflu is a cure.

Sorry Antivirals do not cure anything. They "slow down" the virus spread, SOMETIMES not always!!

However, those people taking the antiviral without even having the flu, are actually not being idiots.

Tamiflu and Relenza are both known to have prophylactic qualities.

Please research these chemicals a little more. Thanks

Nah, I had it two weeks ago, well I assume I did as I had about %90 of those symptoms, so in a way I was being truthful ( Istill have a sore throat and slight cough), so I was being truthful!

But I think they've got better things to do than hunt me down, maybe I shoud turn myself in!

Lol it's about now I wish I hadn't got on the wrong side of all those ATS members!

They're surely going to turn me in!

You know I didn't even see that part, hm, in the UK it's about 2 years for murder, so misuse of the flu service, that's about 10-15 I reckon.

This country is amazing sometimes, not in a good way either.
