Two vaults full of teddy bears, plastic floral arrangements and other memorabilia were buried this morning at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit at a granite tombstone marked, “Motown Remembers the King of Pop, Michael J. Jackson.”

Approximately 50 fans stood around, some shedding tears, as Motown Museum CEO Audley Smith and radio personality John Mason spoke of the importance of the brief memorial service and burial.

It's a sad day when teddy bears get a police escort and a proper burial.

So, Detroit decided to have a funeral for a memorial to Michael Jackson. They even had a police escort.

My opinion? Are you freaking KIDDING me?!?

Oops, forgot to add the link.

Anyway, why on earth did we feel the need to have a full on burial for a memorial? Why bury teddy bears? What a waste of everyone's time, money, police presence and effort.

Atleast they don't need police escorts when they have their picnic.

Police escorts for teddy bears? well atleast they aren't tazering anyone while they do this, so I suppose it's ok. Good work police
what a mighty hard job you have.

Another option could have been to give the teddy bears to children. Or even just throw them away. But to bury them?

Sometimes logic escapes humanity.

It's no coincidence, jeasahtheseer. The media is making us watch MJ instead of showing us the real, important news.

They are just using this man's death to further their agendas.
