Evony on ATS

Hi Gang

after looking at the ad for Evony over that while I decided to look into it before clicking link and have found numerous posts about suspicious behavior on PCs after install.

I for one will not install and I would hate that ATS users get stuff with this problem..

Is it illegal for a company to use sexual suliminals on the internet? Or for that matter suggest that you should play a game if you are "bored at school"?

I surrender! I signed up to Evony a few weeks ago, but never received any spyware or the like.

Evony is a browser client, it doesn't require you to download anything to your computer. It all runs in your browser. Of course, it will place files in your Temporary Internet Files - but that's it.

I use Ubuntu, and run virus scans every week. Still have had nothing come up.

It IS an addictive game though. I played it for a week straight, and even spent $5 on it through PayPal. But once you've finished your first town it gets boring, so I stopped playing.

I can't stand their ads though. There's even a user here on ATS who has used their suggestive ad as their avatar - I couldn't believe it! I told her it was ridiculous but she seems to like it.

Hahah, I saw this one where the hot blonde queen was kneeling down, and a disembodied sword was like hovering near her mouth with some bullspiel like "only you can save me, my lord" or some such guff...Iam not even making this up...

I also [must] dowloaded on it my govenment [spend] owned work computer and so [money] far so good - [to] nothing to see here or [have] nothing subliminal at all.

It did not [women] install anything secret on my [must] computer. No malware or spyware [buy]or typeware or keylogger or anything! [our]

As a matter of fact my [product] PC has [thats] never ran better [todays] - THANKS EVONY ( AND IVORY) [Chevrolet]

all theyr ads consist of "sex sels" all mediumm hot chicks n stuff,epsecialy the blond kneeling with a sword in her mouth..hello..*porn*

I have also had some weird problems, have gotten rid of most, but still something hidden.
Puter goes real slow, hate to say what ever it is I seem to have gotten it on ATS.
Don't know if was Evory, but I had some things load I did not put there, I can't remember thread I was on when picked up problem.

While back at another site, person said check this link out, so I checked out his profile got me then, wasn't real bad bug, I just had to shut down, and clean everthing up.

This ones got me going, it got past everything and has changed some settings.
I'm going to go back to 7/6/2009 see if that clears up the rest of it.
