Oh, this one is just disturbing. (Is that the right word?)

Not sure if it follows the theme; the genre; the modus operandi, so to speak, but....what the hey?!

Emancipation Day

The municipality of Washington, D.C., celebrates April 16 as Emancipation Day. On that day in 1862, President Abraham Lincoln signed the Compensated Emancipation Act for the release of certain persons held to service or labor in the District of Columbia.[3] The Act freed about 3,100 enslaved persons in the District of Columbia nine months before President Lincoln issued his famous Emancipation Proclamation. The District of Columbia Compensated Emancipation Act represents the only example of compensation by the federal government to former owners of emancipated slaves

I am reminded, by that, of a Star Trek: Classic episode.

Title is: The Enemy Within

(First Season). One of the early better ones...

I know. NOT ashamed to be an unabashed Star Trek fan.

However, sometimes.....? Hey! I know how to laugh at myself, (and at others, sometimes...).
