That doesn't make any sense. Muslims don't believe sex with your husband keeps you from going to heaven. The whole point of the sham marriage is to make it not 'rape'. Therefore, sham wedding, and sham honeymoon does not equal rape, and does not equal 'no heaven'.

I don't doubt that this happens, but I think it is just a loophole in the law for some free sex and legalizing an execution. I don't think it is meant to send them to Hell.

Honestly, I have seen some videos of beautiful women being stoned to death, and I have thought what a waste. I think they should ship all those "evil" women over here to the West. Let them "corrupt" us for awhile. Woman saved. Muslims feel superior and get one over on us infidels. And us infidels get more beautiful women in our population.

im sorry for asking this but i have to know, now please understand i am not being nasty or judgemental...but what are you doing watching video's of beutiful young women being stoned to death for?

The description sounds more like what we do to prisoners in Iraq and Guantanamo.

Hoping most ATS members do not believe this BS!

Even if they have a motive for covering the story about abuse in Iran ... (maybe yes, maybe no) that doesn't change the fact that the abuse is happening.

Under the Islamic Rules, the family protection law has been abrogated. The Islamic Republic resolutely supports the practice of polygamy.

Under the Islamic Republic, provisional marriage was sanctioned. Consequently, a man may marry "four Permanent" and as many "Provisional" wives as he desires.

The marriage age for girls was reduced to 13 and with the father's consent, a girl may marry at the age of nine. No restriction on the age of the man. In recent years the marriage age for women has been reduced to 9 years of age.

"The most suitable time for a girl to get married is the time when the girl can have her first menstrual period in her husband's house rather than her father's." Ayatollah Khomeini.

Iranian women are prevented to marry foreigners unless they obtain a written permission from the Ministry of Interior. The Ministry of Interior's Director General for the Affairs of Foreign Citizens and Immigrants, Ahmad Hosseini, stated on 30 March 1991: "Marriages between Iranian women and foreign men will create many problems for these women and their children in future, because the marriages are not legally recognized. Religious registrations of such marriages will not be considered as sufficient documentation to provide legal services to these families."

Custody of Children

Women can not have the custody of their children unless there is no male relative in the father's family. In case of dissolution of marriage, a mother's right of custody over her children is limited to the son up to 2 years of age and to the daughter under 7 years, even when the father has died. At the end of this "legal" period the child should be returned to the father with no visitation rights for the mother. If the father is dead, the children must be handed over to the father's family.

[Quote] Punishment

A couple of weeks following Dr. Homa Darabi's self-immolation, a young woman was stoned to death in the city of Qom in front of her husband and her two small children. Her guilt was adultery, even though no man was found to have had a relation with her. She did not receive any trial and was not allowed to have an attorney. A Mullah convicted her in less than sixty seconds and the stoning took place the next day. Her head was shaven and she was buried in mod up to her shoulders. Reported by Iranian Radio News.

How do you perform enforced rape on someone if you do not want to take part
sounds physically impossible if you do not want to take part so if he did he wanted to unless i'm missing something

This is the same stupid argument that men cannot be raped.

Biology and Humanity are not related to one another in any way. A pretty young naked woman is going to get a physical response from a virile man regardless of his opinion of the situation.

He may hate it, or hate himself, but he will be capable. He may even enjoy it, and hate himself that much more for enjoying it. Woman who are raped have this problem as well. The physical aspect can be enjoyable while the emotional aspect is heart-wrenching and guilt-filled!

Female Political Prisoners

Under the Islamic Republic, most of the female political prisoners are charged with waging war against God. Thus, according to the Islamic Officials they are war prisoners and may be considered as the slaves of the Islamic Warriors. Consequently, the guardians of the revolution, namely the Pasdars, may treat them as they like. Each woman in the prison belongs to one guard. He may lawfully consider his slave as a concubine and force her into sexual intercourse or inflict other tortures on her.

In his 1992 report, the United Nations Special Representative, Commission on Human Rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran, writes that, "requests made by the victims from their parents to supply them with contraceptives and the silence of the Islamic officials who have refused to deny the above charges are alarming clues which confirm such allegations."

Girls condemned to death may not undergo the sentence as long as they are virgins. Thus they are systematically raped before the sentence is executed.

To rape women prisoners, especially virgin girls, who are accused of being against the regime, is a normal and daily practice in the Islamic Republic's prisons, and by doing so, the clergies declare that they adhere to the merits of the Islamic principles and laws, preventing a virgin girl to go to heaven. Mullahs believe that these are ungodly creatures and they do not deserve the heaven, therefore they are raped to make sure that they will end up in hell.

Despite the fact that all Conventions and agreed covenants of the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights have to be strictly observed by the member states, the Islamic republic of Iran's Constitution mentions nothing about the equality of men and women. The Article 19 of the Islamic Constitution concerning the equality of people is quite silent where the sex is concerned.

Saudi Arabia, treatment of women, women are treated as lifelong dependents, under the guardianship of a male relative. Deprived of the right to drive a car or mix with men publicly, they are confined to strictly segregated lives on pain of severe punishment.

first worst country is Afghanistan even with the US intervention, Third country believe it or not is Iraq,.

Actually Iran is not in the top list of worst countries to be a woman.

Sorry if this has been posted before but I was not up for reading 5 pages of "Its the Jews" No its not" posts but

Sometime the line between what is Religions in nature and what is cultural is blurred. All the Muslims I have spoken to about this say that Iran and most other countries that have extremes laws like that are messed up and are mixing cultural and religions beliefs and using one to support the other.

Things like this have been happening for a long time all over the world. In Africa they practice cutting off the womens clit for some reason or another.

Also this kinda of stuff happens in the USA all the time and you dont hear a peep about it. Look at the CLDS for a start.

Female Executions

The latest reports published by various international organizations such as Amnesty International and the United Nation's Human Rights Commission give a clear picture of the circumstances that Iranian women are suffering under. They are denied the most basic human rights.

Thousands and thousands of women have been imprisoned, raped, flogged, shot, hanged, or stoned to death, mostly under false accusations and all has been done under the name of God and apparently in accordance with the Islamic judicial system.

According to the report published by the Organization of Women Against Execution in Iran, the number of women executed from 1981 through1990, exceeds a few thousands. The Organization has been able to prepare a list containing 1428 names. Some of the data were gathered through the official channels and some from the relatives of the victims. According to this report out of 1428 women executed, 187 were under the age of 18, with 9 girls under the age of 13, 32 women were pregnant, and 14 were between the ages of 45 to 72 at the time of their execution. The youngest girl executed was 10 years and the oldest was 70 years of age.

On his last visit to Iran, in 1991, Professor Reynaldo Galinde Pohl, Special Representative of the United Nation's Human Rights Commission, interviewed the Islamic Republic's Minister of Justice, Mr. Hojatolislam Esmail Shoushtari:

"Referring to the penalties of amputation and stoning, he (The Minister) indicated that Iran's system of government was Islamic, thus Islamic laws were enforced and some penalties could not be changed. Murder, for example, was punished by the death penalty, and that rule could not be changed; however, judges were empowered to negotiate with the victims' relatives to replace the death penalty by another, and that did happen in 95 per cent of cases. Theft was punished by amputation, and adultery by stoning (to death). Those penalties could not be changed, because they were punishments especially established under Islam."

All the authoritative international documentation and testimony gathered in the last 17 years of the life of the Islamic Regime in Iran is full of unceasing, systematic brutality, and oppression of masses, especially women.

I agree fully, at least the 115 degree weather here hasn't cooked our brains yet. I've been getting more and more fed up with this site lately, and am on the verge of a hiatus, something I have never done. I see SO many thoughtful, intelligent posts and threads that recieve no stars, and have seen completely ignorant posts rack them up. You can be sure you will completely fill up your flag contribution indicator by posting one anti-american, or anti-israeli thread, no matter how short and how ignorant, these people eat it up. Unfortunately, the star system is showing the ignorance of most of ATS's current membership.

On topic, yet again, the Iranian goverment has shown why they are the enemy of humanity as a whole. But don't worry, ayatollah ass kissers, Obama isn't interested in bettering humanity, so your precious regime is safe and the rapin' isn't going to stop. You can all rest easy, and continue to tickle each others balls with "jew propaganda" statements and such. Keep ignoring true, blatant evil, while obsessing over percieved hidden evil. The US isn't going to attack Iran, but you all will continue to proclaim the attack is imminent, and any negativity about your precious regime is precursor propaganda before the attack. Any day now.

I found myself moaning about my inability to order a Mimosa before 10am this Sunday while having breakfast because of Arizona's religious based alcohol restrictions - this puts it in perspective for me.

Just make sure to buy your sunday morning alcohol on saturday night.

Appropriate question, no offense taken.

I was linked to it from a thread on ATS. I will look for the link and try to repost it, although I must warn you it was sickening. It was on MetaCafe, and can probably be found with a quick search.

My stomach still aches when I think about it, and as odd as it sounds, I just had to watch it over and over, because I could not comprehend it. People were laughing and filming with cameras and cell phones. It was sick! There were plenty of other related videos there as well, and it changed my outlook on humans as a race. I would have had more sympathy for a serial killer than these people had for a young woman wanting to get married to the wrong man!

Khomeini's Teachings on sex with infants and animals

Islamic Teachings on sex with infants:

"A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby. However, he should not penetrate. If he penetrates and the child is harmed then he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl, however would not count as one of his four permanent wives. The man will not be eligible to marry the girl's sister."

The complete Persian text of this saying can be found in "Ayatollah Khomeini in Tahrirolvasyleh, Fourth Edition, Darol Elm, Qom"

Islamic Teachings on sex with animals:

"The meat of horses, mules, or donkeys is not recommended. It is strictly forbidden if the animal was sodomized while alive by a man. In that case, the animal must be taken outside the city and sold."

Editor's notes: I wonder if it is OK to sodomize a dead animal? What happens if the buyer brings the poor animal back into the city?

"If one commits an act of sodomy with a cow, a ewe, or a camel, their urine and their excrements become impure, and even their milk may no longer be consumed. The animal must then be killed as quickly as possible and burned, and the price of it paid to its owner by him who sodomized it."

Editor's note: The poor animal first is sodomized and then killed and burned. What an Islamic justice towards animals? Where are the animal
rights group?

"It is forbidden to consume the excrement of animals or their nasal secretions. But if such are mixed in minute proportions into other foods their consumption is not forbidden."

"If a man (God protect him from it!) fornicates with an animal and ejaculates, ablution is necessary."

Editor's note: It does not say who should have ablution: the animal or the man?

I think that people need to know that arabs as well as jews are semites.

if you are anti semitic, you are also being anti arab. They are all descendants of the same people by their own reckoning and the differences lie only in the fundamental ideas of their religion.

the UN doesn't deserve much in the way of band wagoning their credibility. they are a dirty and corrupt organization that needs reform and a huge overhaul.

That much has been made abundantly clear in the last decade or so.

I am not justifying rape, or saying that all women enjoy it, or that other physical aspects of it are not violent and degrading, or that the emotional damage does not far-outweigh everything else.

But, it is well-documented that the actual intercourse part of the rape elicits all the normal responses in many cases. Rape counselors have to deal directly with the guilt that goes along with all the mixed signals and guilt the body goes through. Rapists use this an emotional control mechanism, and many rapes are never even reported because of the impact it plays.

It is extremely naive to completely ignore this aspect of the equation.

PLEASE, do not let this get things off-topic, it was only a response to the poster that said a man would not be capable of an "enforced" rape. A man is very capable of doing this despite how he feels about it.

I see some controversy behind this article not because it's so inhumane, but because it's from a JEWISH website. Kind of sad isn't it? That everyone is bashing it because it's on a JEWISH website...JEWS wrote this. So it MUST be inaccurate or propaganda.

ugh, lol.

On another note: I wouldn't be surprised if this article was real. Why? Since when did the governments of Islamic countries begin to have common sense or sanity in their justice systems?

Women and girl abuse is on going, it has not boundaries, is also found to be more of religious motivation.

Around the world a woman or child gets abuse 1 out of 3 that tells you the numbers are very high, and we in the US are not exempt.

Still more and more shows that religion is still one of the main causes that fuels inequality when it comes to women treatments around the world.

I'm a first time poster but have been silently participating for months. I refer people to this site regularly. It was this thread that finally got me to sign up!

I am an observer of people and this article seems to be against what Muslim people are all about. Aren't the Iranians some of the more educated people in the Middle East? Why would they ever put up with this behavior?

The Muslim men I know would die trying to protect a young woman, not exploiting her.

I can't help but be suspicious of this disgusting news article showing up at a time when Israel is not complying with US demands for stopping growth into Gaza. It feels like wrong information about Iranians to me.

I don't believe it.
