I don't know. . .cellphones, microwave ovens. Who does?

I wrote, I believe, "385 mrem"...this says 360. "Average"...??? Who knows?

The average exposure for Americans is about 360 mrem (3.6 mSv) per year, 81 percent of which comes from natural sources of radiation. The remaining 19 percent results from exposure to human-made radiation sources such as medical X-rays, most of which is deposited in people who have CAT scans.

Well the problem here is there is too much conflicting data... even NASA 's own paper back in 1964 where they contracted with GE to make electromagnetic shields for spacecraft to protect from radiation

I have also seen some papers on how they use ionized plasma on the ISS to help with that shielding Just wish I had more time to put it all together

but the 1964 document was a NASA final draft contractor report

Maybe that is where Roddenberry got his ideas from

Ahh yes, that bastion of good judgement and sanity the good old UK.

With the inherent bias and openly anti-US stereotyping that pervades the reporting of anything American in that socialist rat hole, I'm amazed that it's only 25%.

Perhaps we could persuade all of them to think the entire US is a hoax, and stop them from coming here.

I also hear astronauts came back infested with nano bacteria. I will have to dig up that NASA report

I mean in the format of 'round spot flashes'. They look quite curious, I've seen them in video of tshernobyl. Maybe youtube has some of that footage, or if anyone knows any then please link.

That's a harsh statement to make. Are you against all countries but your own?.

At last, definitive PROOF that the Moon landings were faked.

A stunning expose!

Most definitely not, but the UK does earn my particular disdain for its attitude towards the US and now it seems US achievements.

Xenophobe no, Anglophobe yes.

So? Millions more believe in a supernatural being in the sky. Doesn't mean any of it is true, does it?

Nothing shields us from radiation like the Earth.
So if you want to go any where better not try outer space, Moon or Mars.
But I don't know how many people over how long a period of time need
to go to the Moon or Mars to make people think that gravity has been
denied rule over our existence.

What that really means is that 75% of people don't know how to get to the Moon either. Yet they are willing to believe everything they see on television because like it's totally awesome.

I think if one goes too far away from Mother Earth they will experience mental problems, maybe total white out, they will become a blabbering idiot. Brain fried. Tripped out. Houston, we have a problem.

i believe 100% but unfortunately only believe about 37% that we will go back there by 2020. too dreamy but honestly 25%? thats what i find hard to believe. the media has ruined that mission. i feel sorry for Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Pete Conrad, Alan Bean, Alan Shepard, Edgar Mitchell, David Scott, James Irwin, John W. Yound, Charles Duke, Eugene Cernan, Harrison Schmitt, Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, William Anders, Tom Stafford, John Young, Dick Gordons, Micheal Collins, Jack Swigert, Fred Haise, Stuart Roosa, Al Worden, Ken Mattingly and Ronald Evans. A salute to them all.

I'm almost 100% sure, by a poll I just conducted on myself that there was no poll that EVERY BRITON took. I'd like to see the numbers on the poll.

25% is a huge figure to wave around... unless 4 people took the poll....

We have photos of the equipment left up there now, with higher res ones coming as soon as NASA can get them.

What more will it take?

We went to the moon. Start focusing on conspiracies that actually matter.... like what the hell is happening to our economy?

The very last sentence in that link is as follows:

Just how stupid did the NASA officials think the public were?

Unfortunately if I answer that question about the 25% who think the moon landing is a hoax, NASA probably doesn't think they are very bright. All the "definitive proofs" prove is that the proponents lack understanding of principles of optics, photography, perspective, lack of flatness of the moons surface etc. and these effects have been demonstrated by investigators.

If you really want to see the truth about how the flatness of the moon's surface, or lack thereof affects shadows, check out this mythbusters clip:

Everything else in that link has also been similarly shown to not provide any evidence the moon landing was faked.

I can remember watching the so called "moon landings" when they happened. I was crazy about the space program for years before that. I had initially laughed when people said that it was all faked but the more I looked into it the more merit the idea got.

CAN ANYONE FIND ANY STARS OR PLANETS IN ANY OF THE MOON PHOTOS?? HOW ABOUT AN EXLANATION ON WHY THEY WOULDN'T APPEAR IN THE PICTURES ABOVE THE LUNAR HORIZON?

Supposedly the flag was blown down by the LEM when it took off. Look very closely at the photos of the area beneath the LEM.

WHERE ARE THE BLAST MARKS FROM THE LANDING? There is no blowout whatsoever from the landing, absolutely no sign of any rocket blasting the soft lunar soil beneath. Their boots sink in yet no dust blewout from the landing? Also the LEM landing pads didnt sink into the surface or skid at all during the landing. Hmmmm.........

I want to believe we did make the moon landings but for us nor anyone else to have never returned just doesnt make sense.

Questions like this keep life interesting but I would sure love some answers before I kick off.

Unfortunately, the same BS video that were made years and years ago, and already thoroughly debunked, are still available --- and they still infect young minds, it seems.

Layers of the lighter "top-soil" (regolith) DID move away from the immediate area of the descent engine nozzle. Remember, in a vacuum, the exhaust gases from the engine don't act the way they do in an atmosphere. In air, the exhaust blows and displaces air, causing a more pronounced effect. In a vacuum, only the particles in direct contact with the exhaust will be affected. ALSO, the engine was throttled down continuously, as landing neared. The engine is actually cut-off a few feet above the surface, after the "contact" light comes on, from the probes hanging down below the landing gear.

Here's a view of the area immediately after Apollo 11 landed:

There was some disturbance, it is shown in the videos of the landing.

Also the LEM landing pads didnt sink into the surface or skid at all during the landing.

Incorrect assumptions.

The Lunar regolith is just a thin surface of loose 'soil'...with much harder compacted material beneath.

Here's a shot of the 'skid' shown by one of the pads:

You can see the 'soil' pushed up sideways, under one pad.

The consistency of the 'soil' is like fine sand, but different in its "stickiness"... thus it forms bootprints. AND, the boots don't "sink in"...they imprint a very shallow mark, on the shallow 'soil'.

Really, all of this info is available elsewhere, if you care to search for it!

The only question I have about footprints is this one.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/e89e38cd0cd6.jpg[/atsimg]

Why is this one raised and the others are shallow marks?

Anyways, I saw MythBusters last night and was very disappointed. IMO, they didn't do the show as impartial. They seemed intent to prove conspirators wrong from the start.

The only thing that really makes me believe that we did go to the moon is the compelling stories the astronauts and the people in Houston have told over the years. After all of these years, one would think that their stories would have come apart because once you lie you have to keep telling more lies to cover up the old ones.

Take a proper look again:

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/e89e38cd0cd6.jpg[/atsimg]

What you think is 'raised' is an optical illusion. Look at the shadows. It's the same illusion when sometimes a crater looks like a dome.

Watch this more earth-bound example:

Err, sense of humor fail

The page I linked is a joke, you'd think that would be obvious from the pictures.

I have no doubts we actually went to the Moon, myself
