Power Cuts

Has anyone else been having power cuts?
I live in the Highlands of Scotland and had a power cut at the beginning of the week for 3 to 4 hours.
We were told the at time it was a fault and they dig up the road and it was all fixed, they said it may have been caused by the lighting storms.

Its just happened again tonight for 2 hours. When it went off tonight, it flashed on and off for about 10 times before cutting total off.

I find it strange that it has happened again some 4 days later and there is no storms that I know of in the area tonight, so I goggled to see if there were any more. I found one in Glasgow and west of Scotland that happened early today.

Now in the Highlands we have Hydro Eletric but in Glasgow they have Scottish Power, so it may be just a coincidences, I guess they all run of the same grid, has anyone else had power cuts this week?
