And I believe that we will hear this number rising higher and higher until the economy turns around!

I also believe that, if things like the Kennedy's health care plan, (Kennedy Bill Would Make Employers Provide Care) ever takes hold, we will be seeing a lot more businesses, especially small businesses going out of business or filing for bankruptcy.

Placing more burdens and taxes on struggling businesses, barely keeping their doors open, is not going to be the answer to getting this countries financial/economic problems back on the right track!

WHATEVER all these "stimulus packages" are doing, they sure aren't helping out the average businesses!

Small businesses are the economic backbone of this country, if the government keeps throwing more and more financial burdens on them, there will be more and more businesses closing their doors, which will cause more people to be unemployed sending our economy deeper and deeper into turmoil!

Helping small businesses, and not "hurting" them is what the government needs to do to help pull this country through these economically trying times!

Here's some facts about U.S. small businesses, ..

Small Business Impact on the Economy

Small Business Impact on the Economy

The estimated 27.2 million small businesses in the United States:

* Employ about half of the country’s private sector workforce
* Hire 40 percent of high tech workers, such as scientists, engineers and computer workers
* Include 52 percent home-based businesses and two percent franchises
* Represent 97.3 percent of all the exporters of goods
* Represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms
* Generate a majority of the innovations that come from United States companies

Keeping small businesses healthy should be a MAJOR goal of the government to help this country get back on its feet again!
