I pleaded with the moon
but it wouldn't light the dark
the sun I couldn't beckon
the blackened sky was stark

A million fingers grabbing
the forest closing in
the branches clawing at me
ripping at my skin

I hear the wicked voices
laughing at my plight
lord please give me wings
that I may take to flight

My prayer went unanswered
trapped in the brumous air
no one was there to save me
no use my soul to bare

The soil relented under me
swallowing me whole
clawing wildly for my life
I dared to not let go

Pulled suddenly to my feet
again on solid ground
I turned to thank my savior
my alarm clocks all I found...

Really it was. Very visual, ending perfect, just, just....... PERFECT!!!!

That is something that needs to be framed and hung above the bed or something! If I had a piece like that I would for sure. Ok I read it twice so far but I'm going to read it again. Actually I think I'll bookmark this one. You should be paid for work like this one. So visual I got the perfect picture in my head.
