Well, if you get bored one day or are curious, you should also research the events that led up to the bombing of Pearl Harbor. We are taught in US schools that it was an unprovoked attack instigated against an innocent U.S. for evil reasons. There is much more to it, involving unfair trade practices on the part of the US. Doesn't excuse Japan's actions, but it puts it into context.

History is written by the victors.

Don't forget the U.S.S. Liberty, Admiral McCain (yup, the Senator's daddy) and the recording of LBJ alleged orders, "I want that god damned ship at the bottom of the ocean". Why the Israeli's attacked, is something we can only speculate about...

Oh, yeah. I remember that one. That was classic spook work there.

... I had a great History Teacher, .... he would give us information out of books, ... then the backstory's you dont hear about, .... he used to be a translator in Nam, .... one of the things I remember him telling us, .... is that the Japanese had already surrendered BEFORE the atomic bombs were dropped, ...... which was done as revenge for pearl harbour.
