I have small areas of the muscles on my arms and legs that twitch.
Little areas about 1/2 to 1 inch and it feel like bugs moving under my skin.

If i put my hand on the muscle that is twitching i can feel small areas moving.

in my case its caused by nerve damage of peripheral neuropathy.

I have to take gabapentin to control the twitches so that i can sleep.

I often wake myself up with violent twitches
but then I do have Multiple Sclerosis, so I guess that explains that

Here is a link to a fairly recent ATS discussion on eyelid (and other) twitching concerns. See especially my replies on that thread with several links to current scientific/medical resources on that topic. The MODs must have liked my replies because I got given a lot of points for those replies.

When I began trying to meditate it was hard to stop paying attention to every thought that flew by. Once I got the hang of it and began to relax in silence, my left eye would start twitching underneath. Then I'd lose concentration again. Finally, when I got past that, my left eye would open involuntarily. It was weird. I haven't meditated since.

Nothing like that happens when I'm just falling asleep though.

LOL, I call it full body tourettes. Mainly just happens for a few hours after the gym. It is more like energy that comes in spirts and it HAS to comeout. Mostly in the form of shoulder checking a T-wall or flexing my entire body at once.

I can get an eye twitch if i have a stressful/busy day at work. It kinda reminds me of a cartoon eye twitch.

I also as of late have developed one on the side of my leg thats driving me nuts.
