Space shuttle blasts off after month's delay

Success came on launch try No. 6, on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the liftoff of man's first moon landing.

It launched a little bit ago. 30 minutes before the announcement on the news my father called me up saying that they found debris that fell off, and to watch the news. Surely enough, they showed what looked like a few pounds of material hitting and scraping parts of the shuttle.

Any thoughts? Sending up another shuttle? How would that event effect the national outlook and even international outlook of the shuttle program to go up and rescue those astronautics which are potentially in danger of a re-entry accident?
