Plans to require companies to verify the eligibility of their employees to work legally in the country could actually leave millions of Americans out of jobs. More than 21 million Americans -- who were born and raised in the United States, and are U.S. citizens -- do not have a photo ID to prove it and thus are considered by authorities to be "undocumented," reports La Opinión. As the country tightens its national security measures, photo IDs have become a necessity in order to register to vote, drive, access basic health care services and work.
