While I think this current story about President Obama is very weak evidence at best, I see the Constitution perhaps differently than you. Either one of us might be off-base.......
or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution,
Or a citizen of the United States, AT THE TIME of the Adoption of this Constitution.....
In other words, either born in the United States, or a citizen at the time the Constitution was adopted. Once the Constitution WAS adopted, Presidential candidates had to be natural born. Of course, even THAT had another amendment to clarify what that means -- natural born.
I don't think it means merely being a citizen qualifies.


The Constitutional requirements prove my point and is
